Pretty disappointed in the HC search thus far

Pool of Candidates that we know of:
Dennis Allen
Aaron Glenn
Darren Rizzi
all in house/former in house guys. not saying unqualified but uninspiring effort into the search.
Brian Flores- logical interview, shite hits the fan, now has a divisive feel with tons of baggage one way or the other.
Doug Pederson- Was fine with his candidacy. Not sure he's my top guy but felt he aligned a lot with our organization
Eric Bienemy- Give me a break. He lacks organizational leadership characteristics. He's a puppet under Reid with some of the best weapons in the NFL over the past 6 years. I don't even see the argument for EB over an interview for PCJr.
Names I think we missed out on:
Brian Daboll
Kevin O'Connell
Scott Turner
Nathaniel Hackett
Jonathan Gannon
Lou Anarumo
Not saying all of these candidates are better or should be the guy but the lack of interviews to have a more open minded approach is disappointing. All of which will make the Dennis Allen hire even more sad. If he won the job after interviewing 10-12 guys, so be it.

You think open minded. I see a big f@cking waste of time. You have obviously never had to hire someone.

but interviewing Rizzi and Glenn Bienemy is not a huge waste of time? your argument is amateur. your dismissal of some of those candidates is naïve.

Don't worry, Saints fans. Dennis Allen will be here to initiate the swift decline shortly.
We really need to be thinking more about who will be the NEXT next Saints coach, complete with that fresh #1 pick burning a hole in their draft room.

Pederson was a quality candidate with serious credentials
He probably liked the idea of Florida and working with the young QB

i agree with his candidacy. i find it hard to believe he picked Jax with Spielman over the Saints organization though.

I doubt he picked us vs them ... more likely he took a job that was offered.

I'm a little worried about the blowback when the Saints hire Dennis Allen, which they will.
Every single job so far has been filled by a white guy. Now with the Flores stuff, there is going to be serious media frickery with whomever hires last, and its yet another white guy.

you find out if you have a shot elsewhere in a spot you are more interested in before you accept.

His quality as a coach is debatable as frick with how shitty his team was after his coordinators left that SB team.

What did you expect?
a more interesting pool of outside candidates than Pederson/Flores (especially what its become) and EB thrown into the mix after 2 weeks....

serious media frickery
National sports media will bash the Saints no matter what because it's a small market team.

You were told on day 1 it was going to be Dennis Allen.
Its going to be Dennis Allen.
All the rest is for show and rules.

You set your expectations way too high.
When it comes to anything to do with the state of La., I set my expectations WAY WAY low in order to maximize may chances of being pleasantly surprised.
I'm only half-joking.
But seriously, Sean Payton himself is sort of responsible for this problem. If he had handled things like a true professional, he would have announced that THIS next season would be his last in NOLA. Instead, he waits until late in the NFL hiring cycle to announce that he's out, thus making sure that just about every other NFL franchise looking for a HC gets a head start.
Because of Sean Payton, the Saints didn't enter this foot race until 30 seconds after the Start Gun fired.
What did you expect? That Gayle Benson would execute an expert and effective hiring process that would secure the best available HC out of all of the available candidates? That's unrealistic.
It's going to be Bienemy or Allen.
