11) Barnett
32) Tim Williams

I'd love to go DE - DE. If one pans out then we are in business. If both pan out then our pass defense could go from bottom of the barrel to elite that quickly.

I'm settling into this being the best case scenario. Really opens #42 up to BPA all the way.

Thinking of those two with these possibles at #42:

Joe Mixon
Curtis Samuel
Sidney Jones
Budda Baker
Marcus Williams
Tarell Basham
TJ Watt
Tyus Bowser

Probably the closest to reality.

No.

He'll do the hajj once a year and probably end up in Syria for the last ditch defense of Aleppo.
Too risky.

This plus trading 42 for Butler would be sweet imo. You have to assume that at least one of them would be a major hit, & if both are hits...we would be prepared for life after Cam Jordan(if he starts to decline as he gets older). Also, Watt might even develop into a legit OLB instead of a DE(which would be fine by me). BPA at either RB, OT, & Safety in the 3rd round. As bad as I want a RB by the 3rd round...you could technically wait until the 6th to draft one & sign 2 or 3 udfa's to solidify the position. Compared to the rest of the positions...RB is easy to hit on late in the draft & even udfa's. A good O-Line makes it not only possible, but probable.

They might even trade into the 4th round to get a RB if they like the guy. Maybe give up our 6th rounder, 7th rounder, & a 2018 4th rounder. I'd be ok with that.

I like McCaffrey a lot(he's my 2nd favorite RB in this class), but I hope we don't spend #11 on him. I doubt he makes it to #32, & I really don't want to trade up into the late teens/20's in this draft. Only way I'd trade up is if it's in the mid-late rounds. I don't think we can afford to give up any major picks without getting a player in return. Maybe if we had a better roster(which could be the case in a year or 2).

I'll say Reddick at #11

and Carl Lawson at #32.

that's my pipe dream 1st round combo.

I know corner is a huge need but my opinion is to build up the front seven and let everything else take care of itself.

gotta put more heat on the QB.

That said.. a corner at either 11 or 32 would be cool with me. Just not my favorite choices.

I'm not crazy about our current LB's.. have not been for years
