Saints happy hour recently floated a rumor that the Saints are interested in trading for a pass rusher. They believe Shough is the guy after seeing him perform well against the Jags, Cowboys, and Rams.

Just my opinion, I’m ok with any player to player trade (like the Deion Jones trade) or pickups after cutdowns. But, I really hope we do not use 2027 draft capital. We are in such a healthy position- we have $$ to spend next year, draft that is setting up to be way above average quality, and an ascending team. We have at least two clear needs: pass rusher and secondary. We can address those perfectly in the offseason.
I think we have a hard ceiling this year. There is a tier of teams that are way better than us right now. A pass rusher will not put us in their tier.

Hard to argue either or with no names.

We tried to get K'Lavon but couldn't agree on terms. We grabbed two other vets - if one of them works out then great but if not, I'm sure we're going to remain in the market. That's a premium position and if you don't use a high pick on one, then trading is probably the next best way to get them.

Is it just me or is this the sentiment every year until about a month out from the draft?

Then things change as far as opinions about the quality of the draft pool.

We tried to get K'Lavon and Kayvon. There was also a rumor about reaching out for Josh Sweat. Ultimately we traded for Tyree Wilson which was the most upside for the cost @ 5th rd.

The Bresee injury hurts because we really needed to see what Bresee/ Granderson/ T Wilson can do.

$35mil between Bresee/ Granderson next year which is equal to an elite top paid DL.

Impossible. Isn’t the team aware that our third stringers were demolished by the Rams in a meaningless game and that means the entire rebuild with Shough is cooked and we have to sell everyone off and tank again?

Bain was right there. I wanted downs, but Bain was right there.

Dumb ducks had Bain right there but decided to waste their 8th rd pick on a wr whose injury history told you he can’t fricking stay healthy. As long as LOOMIS is here we are fricked

Wouldn’t mind it if we can upgrade over Wilson and Jennings at minimum.

I think the holes on the team currently are backup OL, DE2 could be upgraded, CB 2 could be upgraded or at minimum upgrade CB4

why does this keep being said and posted?

he is absolutely the guy, there is no one else.

Shough is our franchise QB. Period.

No one is competing with him, giving him competition for reps, etc.

Tyler Shough is the Saints starting QB long term.

Really. This shite again. Go away
Guess you’re smarter than most league exec’s. Loomis is highly regarded within the league. Sometimes you hit, Sometimes not. It’s crap shoot. Tyson could end up being a stud and the team finds a way to keep him healthy.
Go blow hard elsewhere.

From what was seen, that WR looks really fricking special. I hope we get to witness it.
