He's held on nearly every play. He's lucky the refs aren't throwing the flag. If the defender isn't running straight at him in pass protection, he can't make the block.

Holds, falls down, or just gives up completely. He looks like he doesn't want to be out there.

He doesn’t deserve to be on any football team, at any level. Dude will be a rich unemployed guy soon.

He is not bad. Read our pre draft scouting report. He will be All Pro.

He is the best tackler on the team.

Fade consensus. Penning future All Pro, I’ve seen enough.

He’s performed “ok” today. Won some, did just enough on some, & lost some. I also did not see any protection where they used an TE or RB to chip for him either. Aside from all-pro OL you would have a similar write up on over half of them.

He’s obviously far from perfect and has stuff to continue to work on.

He got away with clear holds at least twice.

In pass protection he still struggles with the inside move, honestly not sure why the Titans DE didn’t go to that more

I have a bit of a different take.

He is ok when moving forward and drive blocking on running plays. When he is aggressive he looks like he could belong with more experience.

As soon as he starts moving backwards he starts to look silly. His drop steps are bad. His balance is way out of whack and he gets pushed over to easily.

Lastly, when the defender makes an inside move he looks like the worst lineman in the NFL. Inside bull rush is his Achilles heel. He is terrible in that situation.

He should be blocking from the inside out. Protecting the inside hole first staying close to the guard then working out. Instead he continues to drop step to far outside opening a huge hole between him and guard that the De's are taking advantage of.

Can anybody guess how DE's will attack him this year?

So i played Offensive line in High school. This by no means makes me an expert on how a professional athlete should play the game. But what i just don't get in watching his play is why he waits so long to engage. I was watching one play in pass protection where he was backing up which you are supposed to do. But you only back up to a certain point and you body the guy. make him make a spin move or swim move to get you off of him. the defender literally just took one step to the right and jogged, literally fricking jogged passed him. I was shook like WT actual F was that.

Stan Brock, Jim Dombrowski, Turley, Peat, and Ram were all multi year starters and some were all pros / pro bowlers. They haven’t been all terrible.

Ramczyk not a whiff.

Peat not a whiff of sorts.

Turley was good for a bit.

Guys like Naeole and jammal brown were contributors.

And now we watch Fuaga and Penning.

edited: I didn't even go back to Stan brock and Jim Dombrowski... about 22 years worth of Saints starts for us.
