Cursed ISTG.
Penning had 0 injury history in college, right?

This is bordering on absurd and just bad luck on Penning's part.
He won't be in the NFL long at this rate.

Foot injuries suck for humans. They suck real bad for active humans. Even worse for human athletes. Worse than that for human athletes that weigh 320 pounds.

He's too damn gigantic to move that fast, his feet can't support it. Hope they can figure something out.

Saints say Trevor Penning 'day to day' with new foot injury, could return Friday
LINK
Here's an update
There are high expectations on left tackle Trevor Penning in his second New Orleans Saints training camp, with the former first-round pick expected to win a starting job from veteran blocker James Hurst. But Penning was held out of Thursday’s practice session on just the second day of camp with a new foot injury.
Penning injured both feet in his rookie season, starting the year on injured reserve after a serious case of turf toe required surgery, and ending the season with a Lisfranc fracture in his other foot. This new ailment is unrelated to either of them. His absence is frustrating for Saints fans, but it isn’t bothering head coach Dennis Allen.
“Not related to the previous surgery, really minor,” Allen said after practice. “Probably more of a precaution to keep him out today.”
Allen described Penning’s status as “Just day to day, I expect he’ll be out here tomorrow or the next day, but we’ll see where he’s at tomorrow.”
As was the case with Penning’s predecessor Terron Armstead, rare movement skills for players their size take a toll on the body. It’s tough to support 325 pounds while maintaining elite athleticism. While he didn’t have much of an injury history at the college level, these things could trail Penning throughout his pro career just like they did Armstead. All he can do is work closely with the team training staff to manage it as best he can. Keep an eye out for him when fans are welcomed to observe their first Saints training camp session tomorrow on Friday, July 28.
Hopefully not so serious.

I noted this spring Penning likely is headed to bust and no impact territory. Now we see the reasons why Turner was brought in, expect Hurst and Peat rotations at LT.

Making Peat look like an iron man at this point.

Peat is not playing LT. The Saints have started everyone but him at LT these last few years. I would expect more of a Hurst LT and Ruiz LG with Turner or Kidd at RG.

I wouldn't freak out just yet. Allen said it was nothing major. It's training camp injury reports of all kinds incoming from all over the NFL. I believe Jalen Ramsey on the Dolphins just went down with an injury (he was carted off) and one of the Jets young wr's Garett Wilson also went down. Players will be retiring as they realize they don't have it anymore. It's a war of attrition

He hardly had any injury in college because of the average talent or athleticism that he faced every day in college, with some guys he faced hardly having any athleticism because of the college level that he played ball at. But it's a different story now in the NFL where he's facing elite athleticism everyday now even in practice. So, dude has to move much faster now in order to block them causing him to hurt himself more and more because he's moving such a large frame of weight.

Trevor (strong horse) Andrus Davenport.

He needs to go to the good feet store.

Can they just go ahead and cut both of Pennings feet off and install some prosthetic feet and be done with it?
