Don't have time for a full recap but it sounds like he wants to try out broadcasting.

Will Goodell step in and block Payton from a big network job?

of course, the nfl gig ain't lining up this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he did tv for 2 years. Came back to coaching in 2 seasons, Saints wouldn't have a ton of leverage in asking for compensation at that point.

Money talks…league office has a lot of power over TV deals.

Also look at how Goodell took down Gruden while nothing from WFT has been leaked.

Ben Mintz said it’s rumored that Amazon offered him QB1 money to broadcast for a year.

Does anyone else question if he would be good at broadcasting? Obviously, he has a brilliant mind and would be able to break down plays but his interview personality doesn't seem like a good fit for broadcasting. He speaks in circles and says a lot of words without really saying anything and maybe that's just because of the position he was in, but it doesn't make for entertaining interviews.

Ummmmmmmmm ever heard of "coach speak"? That's what he's supposed to be doing. Tell me the 90 minute press conference on Tuesday wasn't entertaining? He'll do just fine in a color role next to a seasoned play by play guy.

That 94 minute press conference should have lasted maybe 10 minutes plus maybe 10 minutes for Q&A. Yeah..I am mad that Payton is playing the media. This dude knows he is marking time until he is in Dallas. frick the "its not you..Its me." BS.

I can see him replacing Jimmy Johnson on Fox Pre-game show. Jimmy misses a lot already, and prefers to stay in Florida on his yacht.

Agreed, I don’t give a damn what Payton does or where he goes. He left the Saints , that’s what I care about.

I hate that I am going to have to hate Sean Payton in a few years. If he winds up in Dallas, which I 100% expect, he is going to be the Saints Nick Saban to LSU fans.

The Fox in studio guys really need to be put out to pasture. Between Terry, Howie and Jimmy, not a single one of them were relevant in the NFL in the past 25 years. There are a ton of guys that could easily step up and replace them, especially Terry and Jimmy, since they are basically clowns at this point.
