Pause your DVR, sync up the radio, it's a tradition

I hear this throughout the radio broadcast each week.
Am I a fricking retard, but is this impossible? The radio broadcast is ahead of the TV broadcast. So if you pause the TV, it falls further behind the radio.
I must be dense and not seeing it, or do they say, "it's a Saints tradition" just out of tradition in that it no longer applies?

I haven't tried to do it in a couple of years, but back then they did cut out the delay on one of the available streams which allowed you to sync with the TV.

I have the radio on in the garage so on commercial breaks I get a smoke break, I hear the first play then go inside to see it, works well for me.

There are instructions on WWL on which signal to listen to depending how you watch the game.
It doesn’t work with streaming but it definitely does with cable and over the air antennas. It’s usually only a second or 2 pause on Cox. I think it’s FM for antenna an AM for cable. Antenna signal speed varies pretty dramatically even in the same house so your mileage may vary.

WWL radio broadcasts on am870 and 105.3 fm. The fm broadcast is about 7-8 seconds delayed. What you quoted in the title of your posting certainly works in the New Orleans listening area. You first must tape the game on the D?VR, have the FM broadcast on, then play the game in the recorded function, then adjust the DVR to the FM broadcast, which is delayed. Your dvr will actually be about 2-3 seconds behind your satellite reception.

The WWL broadcast is unbearable since Jim Henderson retired.

Unless Henderson is back doing the calls, I'll just listen to the TV announcers.

I really miss Wayne Mack!
He was very colorful and would comment on Archie in the pocket under a heavy rush as "looking like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs".
Those were the days.

How do you pause a radio? I'm guessing you have XM or something.

I don't know about that, but I have two HD TV's, different brands in different rooms, on the same cable feed and they are 2-3 seconds apart on the same broadcast. I don't see how you could ever get this stuff to sync up and stay synced up

What about his running partner, "Bronco" Bruce Miller.

We do it here in TX. Last weeks game worked good, but previously we had problems because of commercials. Seems like either the TV or the radio had one more than the other.

I’ve recently tried to listen to Strief once again figuring surely by now he would have gotten better. NOPE! Just jam an ice pick in my ear drums.

Why would anyone bother to do this, especially with the radio team now?
