I'm listening to 1130 Minneapolis on my Ootunes, and Paul Allen is livid at Favre.

He's saying the Vikings didn't like Clausen but they would have definitely moved on McNabb had they known.

He is as angry right now as he was after Porter's interception

I don't blame him. The only way Favre could have screwed the Vikings more was if he went to training camp, took all the first team reps, then retired.

So you hold up an NFL franchise based on the decision of a 40 year old QB. So he gives you ONE more year, then what? You still have to plan for the future. Oh wait...two words...Sage Rosenfels

Favre's trying to turn Minn. into Detroit. They deserve it after so pathetically coddling Mr. Ego. Favre embodies some great things when on the field. Off though he has evolved into an ugly prima donna that only those who need his performance for success can bear with. I won't be sad to see the diva act end. The Porter pick was even more poetic and symbolic than Corey Webster's pick of his last pass in a Packer uni.

Not that they weren't pseudo Saints fans anyhow, but I assume you can now add the fine people of Kiln (and some Hattiesburg, MS holdouts as well) into the Who Dat Nation.

what about Benson have Favre as a guest in his box Game 1

I re-watched the Washington game this week and they commented that Laron Landry said, "I'm still a big Saints fan- just not this week."

Brettski fist pumping a Saints score in the Benson box would be poetic.

Couldn't agree more. I just hope this is officially the end. I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing this just to get more attention. Every time he "retires", the media sucks him off and everyone tells him how great he is/was. I used to like Favre quite a bit, but the last few years have really made me dislike him and it's all due to the incredibly inflated ego and off the field attitude. The Vikings, and especially Childress, got exactly what they deserved.

Childress say Farve has not informed him of a decision yet.

I have mixed feelings.

I love that the Viqueens are screwed. Tavaris and Sage will stink up the joint, and they'll be lucky to be a wildcard team, but most probably will just miss they playoffs. Chili will be fired after this season. This all makes me happy.

But I'm disappointed Favre could be gone from the NFL. The dude played the diva card to take some of the shine off his legacy, but the NFL will not be the same. Brett was the ultimate gunslinger, and was fun to watch as a football fan.

I'm disappointed we will not get another shot at him, despite it practically guaranteeing us the win. It takes the drama out of the game.

I'm actually shocked that he is leaving when he is so close to breaking records. He is just 3 TD's away from being the first QB to 500 career TD's. He is just 671 yards away from 70,000 career passing yards.

Go yourself Allen. I was even more pissed at Childress with his pedo looking self when he was talking major shite before the NFC champ. game last year. He was saying things along the lines of "We're gonna show everyone tonight who the better team is."

that's what he gets for going all in with Favre.

they should have grabbed McNabb and has him for several years to go along with AP's peak rather than praying for 1 more year with Favre.

Now it's time to start the Farve as Brees's Backup talk....

Farve did throw one of my favorite passes of last year

They can still make the wildcard with Sage or Jackson at QB. They did it 2 years ago. That is a pretty good team
