Does anyone think a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year would be enough?
Also, what are the cap ramifications? Wouldn't we have to rework several contracts to make it work?

Then there’s the financial impact. Per CBS Sports salary cap expert Joel Corry, any team waiting until the Oct. 30 deadline to trade for Peterson would need about $5.8 million in 2018 cap space. Peterson’s 2019 salary cap hit is $11.25 million, and it climbs to $12.55 million in 2020. The Saints currently have around $2.1 million in space available, but it would climb to a little over $2.7 million should they pass off Crawley’s contract. Early extensions for other players could lower their 2018 hits, creating more space — names like Cam Jordan ($14.4 million against the cap), and Ingram ($5.3 million). There are tougher considerations down the road with Drew Brees and Teddy Bridgewater each needing resolution next spring, but if the Saints really wanted to get Peterson, they have the resources to do it.
If Mickey wanted to he could always kick the can.
Anyways I was harsh on you. Miserable was not the correct word.

Say we move crawley in the deal and get enough cap space to sign him this year. Any chance drew will restructure? He’s 33 mil against the cap next year compared to 24 this year.

There are a number of options. You need to make 3 to 4 mil in cap space this year. Deal with 2019 later.

Yeah but that extra 9 mil is fat. Anyone have Brees’ number and want to text him real quick and ask him if he’ll take a large pay cut next year so we can wreck?

Without a player this is all we have to give in 2019.

The way we're tending, it's a late pick in any round.
Arizona knows that. We're gonna have to give up a lot.
Our best bet might be 4+6th 2019. 2nd and 4th in 2020.
