Bucs over Panthers. Panthers are more dangerous because they can Jekyll and Hyde, and they currently have a better record.

Bucs don't seem like they have it together this year.

A Bucs win is better for us puts the Panthers another game back and gives room for a loss.

I don't want the Bucs to gain momentum.

Cam is going to pout or be "injured" for a number of games each year--those are a given for the Panthers. I don't want Jameis Winston and his receivers to regain their confidence, because they can be scary. I'm not scared of the Panthers skill players now that Olsen is out.

A tie would be nice.

A tie would be likely with these two sorry teams.

But I'd root for the Bucs over Panthers no doubt. We sorta own the Bucs no matter what.

While there are games where Newton will struggle, there are also those games where he plays like the best QB in the league. And that defense is still dangerous.

Winston hasn't shown he can hit that level, and the Bucs defense has taken a step back. Yes they have weapons, but Winston hasn't shown he can consistently and effectively use them.

Even if they win a couple of games they don't seem like a team that's going to get on a roll.

For now we root for the Bucs, but I wouldn't be surprised if 4-6 weeks from now the Panthers are out of the race and the Bucs are sneaking back in

Panthers

I want the Bucs at 2-5 when we play. Also the Bucs have had three close losses in a row. A win and getting to 3-4 could light a fire under them. That is something I don't think the Panthers are capable of right now.

I agree with this. Also, we already have a win over Carolina, so they are less of a threat to us.
