That is very true. I had forgotten about this. Vilma organizes the defense better, and he stops the runs up the middle better.
Not only that but on those long runs Jenkins is there to make the tackle in the middle of the field.

Yeah I thought Vilma was losing a step, which he is, but his knowledge and changing plays and putting people in the right spot helps our d tremendously.

It is just laughable how bad the defense is when it comes to 3rd and 15 or more and to end the first half. They not only allow plenty of yards, but very fast scores.
