Overall direction of the Saints in year 2. Moore/Loomis Appreciation thread

Im blown away by the job that Moore and Loomis have done. The offense is now loaded for years to come, if things don't work out with Olave after this year we could franchise him and trade him, we'll be in great shape going into '27 cap wise. When we were looking for a coach i was thinking "who'd want this job?" It's absolutely amazing what Moore/Loomis has done in 1.5 years

Moore and Staley.
We may have something.
Thank you baby Jesus!

We still need a lot moves to hit and make good additional signings/draft picks to elevate into the strata of solid playoff team and hopefully actual SB contender.
But considering that when we hired Moore heading into the 2025 draft most people, including our own fans, had us as the (not unfairly) least talented and most hopeless team in the NFL, we’ve had a hell of a 15 month turnaround.

Exactly, we were in the worst shape of any NFL team as far as talent/cap space/dead money/best players aging. They've done an amazing job. Recognizing Shough as a franchise QB and getting him in the 2nd. We definitely aren't there yet but we now have all the tools for the future on our offense and on the line. We will eventually need a pass rusher and a #1 CB but we're on the way

I don’t understand ppl constantly wanting to get rid of Olave… we have a cheap qb and cheap wr room, more than enough room to pay him

Pump the damn brakes, let's win more than the usual games before we are starting an appreciation thread. These suckas haven't done anything yet.

I think people still have PTSD from Michael Thomas.

I don't think he'll be worth what he'll ask for, if he were to have a great season this year and stay healthy I may change my mind but we all know he's one hit away from being done

Honestly, it feels like they’re building it like how the Eagles used to be built

Some people have still yet to accept the reality of what players are making in 2026. “Alec Pierce” just got 27M/year from the Colts. If Olave gets 32M on a 3-year deal it won’t be the end of the world, especially since we’re paying NO ONE else.
Years ago you had SainTARDS dogging the GOAT Drew Brees for asking for market value for his contract which was 25M/year at the time, claiming he was selfish and somehow holding the team back

Nothing to do with Mike. Everything to do with wanting Olave to stay healthy, complete catches, get YAC and not loaf over the course of a season. He’s improved on the latter and also improved a lot on making contested receptions.

I’m still shocked no one else really wanted him.
I was ecstatic when we got him.
He wins everywhere he goes.
Moore will be here for a decade.
