to a pretty large POS.
They signed Joe Horn so he could retire a Saint.
As good as Joe was as a player, he was the epitome of what was wrong with the team under Jim Haslett. From the rumors (him sleeping with HOFer Willie Roaf's wife) to the flashy bullshite TD celebrations when we sucked balls. When he talked shite about the fans and city after the storm to when he fully backed a hurt Aaron Brooks over Jake Delhomme, Joe Horn was a POS.
If you're a Horn fan, frick you too!

When you're getting beat 40-0 and you score, you shouldn't celebrate. But I don't recall that being the case. Horn was flashy but he backed it up on the field, usually with a shitty QB. You realize what he would've done in his prime with Brees?
Also, we weren't dreadful most of those years. Joe Horn played from 2000-07. During that time the Saints were 62-66 and had two 10 win seasons. The only real bad year was 2005 when we went 3-13. It's not like we were the Cleveland Browns.

I had numerous conversations w/ Joe when he was with the Saints and he was always polite, willing to take the time to talk for a bit and overall just a nice guy.

you have clearly never met Joe Horn. He is a class act off the field.
and he wasn't the one rumored to have slept with Roaf's wife. that was Joe Johnson.

you'd be incorrect. It exists because the only person who denied it (after Roaf squashed the entire "who done it") is Joe Horn.
After Roaf squashed it and said that his daughter was his, the Times Picayune also squashed the story.
We never really found truth to this.

Martin played 40 more games than Horn and only had a net 300 more total yards, Horn averaged 20 more yards per game and had more touchdowns.

While this sucked, if Jake had been QB he probably would have been good enough to still be there when CSP takes over and maybe we miss our chance to get Brees. Brooks taking us to rock bottom was probably the best thing to happen the the saints.

Horn was the man. Regardless of what you think of him personally, he did it on the field and wasn't roofie raping people off it.
