then what is the point of this statement if you’re not implying Carr is blameless. You know why these coaches suck- because partly they have bad qbs which includes Carr. Its like you’re trying to deflect blame on Carr because the coaches hes under arent great. Personally, a good QB can make bad coaches look good- obviously Carr can’t do that.

Because blaming the 3rd QB to suck under Allen and Carmichael seems redundant. Eventually, you have to look a little deeper than “hurrrrr QB1 sucks!!!!”

But sometimes “”hurrr QB1 does suck!”; yes this coaching staff are dumbasses but the QB does suck as well. Both can be true.

Is anyone defending Carmicheal to criticize Carr?

When you are on your 3rd QB in 24 games, and all 3 have been awful in the same exact fashion, you need to look elsewhere.

Saying there are other, bigger, problems =/= Carr is blameless.

I’ve already said Carr has played poorly. He looks exactly like Andy Dalton did in the back half of last season. He looks exactly like Jameis did for the first 3 games.

What’s the common denominator there? Why don’t we start with that.

No thats you taking blame off Carr assuming theres no way all three qbs can be bad under the same regime. That absolutely can be true even if the coaching staff again are dumbasses. So yes,- Dalton, Jameis and Carr are all bad qbs- I don’t know why thats hard to believe.

That was arguably Carr’s best pass and all around play of the night, and that drop was as big as Moreau’s.

It was a little bit off target but he was under extreme duress.

It was another example of Olaves terrible body language - he was like a zombie and didn’t even seem that upset. I think he did at least tap his chest to say it was his bad, but he did it like Jay Cutler would have done it.

So if 3 different quarterbacks are all terrible under the same scheme, we shouldn’t start taking a look at the scheme?

Ok.

ETA: You seem to want to put all the blame on Carr, which is dumb. This coaching staff has been failing far longer than Carr has been on the roster. That should tell you something.

You keep acting like im not blaming the coaching staff.

AGAIN IT CAN BE BOTH TRUE THAT COACHING STAFF SUCKS AND SO DOES CARR.

When did I ever say we shouldn’t start looking at scheme???? I’m saying its not just scheme but also Carr.

“You seem to want to put all the blame on Carr, which is dumb. This coaching staff has been failing far longer than Carr has been on the roster. That should tell you something.”

- yes coaching is a big part of the issue but so is Carr. My issue is your minimizing Carrs issues due to coaching or WRs not giving full effort. I disagree with that. I think a big part of the issue is Carr AND coaching.

Bitching about Carr is pointless if the coaching staff doesn’t change. The next QB to start will suck if Carmichael and Allen and still here. So will the one after that. And the one after that. You’re bitching about a symptom, not the cause. Expecting a QB to come in and cure a shitty coaching staff and offensive scheme is an exercise in futility.

With regards to Olave, I will always put more blame on players who aren’t putting in the effort over ones who are, but just aren’t very good. Lack of effort is the easiest thing in sports to fix.

Carr is part of the cause. They can fire Carmicheal but that wont change some of these dumb decisions that Carr makes. Again Carr is part of the problem. Bad qb play is not only because of the coaching staff its also on the player. You’re acting like if the coaching staff is fired, he’ll become this above average to elite qb. He wont.

No, I’m not. He can be serviceable as a game manager, just like Dalton could have. That’s about it.

Dalton was serviceable as a game manager???

You may want to ask the panthers and bears how that panned out.

Dalton threw for 361 and 2 TDs in his only start for the Panthers.

No QB spends 9+ years as a starter in the NFL if they are terrible at it.
