Did you see the extension they gave Jones?

Plus their head coach is on the hot seat. A rookie qb isn’t going to help him.

Quick, everyone start pissing and moaning about the Giants trying to steal our favorite QB ever.

Polish up that turd and maybe we can get them to go for it.

Put lipstick on our pig QB boys, let's geaux!

Give them some help with his salary and close the deal. But if Loomis wanted to keep DA he damn sure will keep Carr.

I think it's pretty clear that Loomis doesn't really give a crap about Carr. He was DAs pick and despite whatever Loomis says in the media the new HC will get a say in Carrs future.

Otherwise they would have reworked his contract already Carr doesn't have to even be a part of that, it's written into their contract that the team can restructure without their needing to agree. They just can't cut pay.

Most of us would be ok with giving away a good pick if it meant getting him completely off of the books

And the clickbait article this is “based on” is two pages long and only mentions Carr in one sentence while talking about FA QBs and QBs in the draft. And to all the people in this thread saying to trade him, who do you want to replace home with?

Having read more “articles” the last two weeks than I have in the last few years on both the saints and jags I’m 99% convinced all these “journalists” do is type a two sentence theme into chat gpt and have it spit out shite like this.

Sports media is absolutely terrible now. It’s a vicious cycle of somebody on a sports debate show making a hot take, someone writing an article about the hot take, someone taking the hot take as a report and stating it as a fact, then the debate show the hot take came from debating the “reported fact” and making another hot take.

It's the same thing as cutting him. We wouldn't get a meaningful pick.

We will have a $51m dead money cap hit if we trade him, but I meant if we were lucky enough to get something back I would help send him out… if not Gayle can foot the bill by herself..

So just one year and he would be off of the books?

Worth it IMHO
