Should we have gotten a top notch RB (draft or free agency)? I thank you for your time.

Let me share this "pearl of wisdom": Move on.

The Saints did the right thing and drafted mostly defensive players this last draft. No body in their right mind can argue against that strategy. As for FA, who would you have picked up? More important, where would the money have come from to pay that upper level RB?

As with any bad contract, you have to wait until you can minimize your losses. Blame it on the NFL draft system...it's happend to the best of em'.

I don't feel the need to revisit my opinion on Bush. The Bush love/hate on this board is talked about every day. If you wanna know how I feel check my post history.

Now my opinion on you, I have no problem giving to you. You have shown, in one day, that you know nothing about football. You will never be respected here and might as well just quit posting on this site.

Those are pretty harsh words for someone who has been on the site for a month.
The guy made a few "ill-advised" statements, but he has a right to post here.

Trade him....and get me 2 or 3 quality, needed players!

So you think a team would trade 3 quality players for Bush?

Thomas is fair at best. Could the coaching staff picked up a Wells, Mareno other? Yes!!!!!!!

So you know for a fact that Wells and Moreno are better than Pierre Thomas?

Damn you're good.

I also love how countless posters for 4 pages have laughed at some of the thoughts from the OP but everyone else is an idiot according to him.

Basically we're ALL wrong and he is correct.

Bush isn't going anywhere and a healthy season this year will show you that he shouldn't. This is a pass first offense and that won't change. Bush is the perfect type of running back for SP to game plan around. I'm tired of hearing that we need a "Deuce type running back". Reggie is here to stay so get used to it. PT and Bell will handle the inside runs when needed.
And yet our running game still sucks. Not saying it's all Reggie's fault, but that's part of where all of the criticism is coming from. Some of it is the O-line for sure, but PT and Bell are not the long term answer. I actually like Reggie, but agree he's being misused.

He's not being misused. In the first 6 games last year prior to his injury he had 41 receptions for 425 yds 3 TDs and 78 rushes for 239 yds 2 TDs. That's 13 rushes a game and 7 catches.

With PT emerging you can expect Reggie's carries/game to decrease. He will still be used in the passing game as a threat on the field although his catches may not increase due to Colston and Shockey being healthy. I would bet that Reggie gets less than 10 carries a game and 7-10 catches a game. In no way is that using him the wrong way.

Plus this is without mentioning his 3 Punt return TDs. He had 8 TDs in 6 games to start the season. He'll get his 16-20 touches a game without having to run between the tackles very often.

+1

This answer could end every Reggie Bush thread that I've seen so far.

SFP thinks that you shouldn't count the punt returns. I guess those aren't real touchdowns.

What better way to get him in open space than a kick/punt return? No one here says Reggie should get 15 HB dives a game. We know where he's dangerous and SP does a good job utilizing him, and it will be better this year with other weapons being available. Just sit back and
