Did he really?? I'm at a bar and the sound is turned down. I figured he'd say something anti-Saint... so what did he say exactly?

Because they were short until everyone had nearly lined up, then the chains moved. They snapped it the moment the chains hit, STL had no time to challenge it.

Wow... I missed that part.
Which brings me back to the point of poor officiating by this crew. Not that the Rams would've done anything with the ball, they've been fricking it up all night.

I don't see how they fricked up the spot on that 4th (or 3rd & 1... or how the Hell the Rams didn't challenge that?!?!

This crew is ALWAYS bad, and I agree, Hercules's crew would be bad as well.

I hope it isn't the crew from the St. Louis / Seattle game...

No idea... but I doubt it was anything as bad as what the Ravens were getting away with.
And wasn't the "intentional grounding" pass about 5 yards past the line of scrimmage, but they said they called the penalty because it wasn't?!

Yes, poor officiating today, some very timely bad calls...

That's the beauty of the Saints system. The D can take away any one guy and it's almost inconsequential. The only thing stopping the Saints O this year is the Saints O.

I concur. The defense has played very good, but the offense hasn't been holding up it's end of the bargain, but if the offense hits its stride, then it's Super Bowl Championship again.
I'm a lifelong fan myself, your reasoning is seriously flawed.

So we turn on our team when they're playing badly? Before the Super Bowl the city of New Orleans talked about throwing a parade, win or lose. Did the Indianapolis fans do the same? No. But I do commend the 11 or so fans who showed up at the airport in Indianapolis to show their support despite them losing the Super Bowl.

There are a lot of "lifelong" fans out there, who have consistently turned on their team when things are rough. The real fans on this board are the ones who are posting optimism, and confidence in our team to turn it around. We're not looking through black & gold goggles, we know there are some serious issues, but we also believe in our team, and right now they need our support, not some jackass with a Super Bowl Hangover sign.

I'm a bandwagon fan because I watching the game with my Mom, just like I did every game with my Dad for 33 years until he died this April? That makes me a bandwagon fan? Watching a game at home doesn't make you a bandwagon fan, you fricking count. My parents never had much money, but they provided what they could for us, but if tickets to become available, I do go, and I only wish I would have been able to take my Dad to a game before he passed. He loved the Saints, as do I, I don't scream they suck whenever they struggle, and I don't sit there and say "they're back to their old ways" like a lot of bandwagoners do. I've been watching the Saints since before I even understood the rules to football, you worthless piece of shite. So far this season we've watched the games at my brother's house, but this is the first game I watch a game at my parents' house without my Dad, so frick YOU, YOU MOTHERfrickER!
I can handle the truth that the offense is struggling in games, but I don't see how it's constructive (or necessary) to have signs like that. We've lost 3 games this season, so far, that's how many we lost last year, and we won the Super Bowl.

We are the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS people, we're going to get everyone's best shot and defenses are studying our offense like never before. We'll make the necessary adjustments and be just fine. No sense in being negative until we're eliminated from the playoffs, whether it be before or after the end of the regular season - and then I still don't see a reason to be so damn negative, considering all that we've accomplished as a team, and a fan-base.

So all of you out there who are heading for the hills, guess we'll see you back when we win another game or two.
:bird:

Show some class (and loyalty) you bandwagon motherfricker.
I thought the same thing... bring Carney back as a consultant to Hartley.

I think Hartley liked the right hash...

... but he may not anymore. LOL!

to translate for the Saintards out there...

shite happens, and we're going to get everyone's best game this year, and we didn't play our best game by far. It was a team loss, we shouldn't have even been in that situation to begin with and it's time to just take a step back, fix the things that need fixing, and build on the things that don't.

2007 vs. 2010

Posted by LafVooDoo14 on 9/26/10 at 10:56 pm
This is how I see this season...

Remember in 2006 whenever the Black & Gold would win a big game (the re-opening of the Dome and the game against Dallas) they would usually follow up the game with a loss (Carolina & Washington)? I made the analogy when we started out badly in 2007 that 2007 was a 2006 on a bigger scale, that just like the team struggled with success on a game by game scenario in 2006, in 2007 they were struggling with playing with the success they had in 2006 as a whole.

I think this year is the same as that, except just like we started off slow in some games after big games last year, we're just starting off slow this year after winning the Super Bowl last year.

My point being, if you're in a panic over Hartley's missed field goals, or Brees throwing two interceptions, then you're and idiot, and what is referred to as a Saintard. The team will be just fine, they're starting off slow, but they'll get their shite together. The defense will start getting the turnovers, and the offense will begin putting up the points.

Just wait and see...

Oh, and if you think that the call to kick the field goal on 1st down was a bad call or somehow cost us the game, then you're a fricking moron with no knowledge of football whatsoever. Thomas looked like he might be out for the season the way his leg was bent all crazy at the end of regulation, Ivory fumbled once already, and our offensive line was getting no push at all, and every time we gave Ivory the ball he was getting hammered either at the line or behind the line. It doesn't matter what down it was, we were on the 12 yard line and well within Hartley's range, and he just shanked it, but he'll come through for us again... he did last year after the Tampa Bay game.

For all of you out there who, like me, is not in a panic... all I can say is "Who Dat?!"

:whodat: :whodat: :whodat:
In the post game interview, Stinchcomb said that he'd rather be 2-0 with things to improve on than 1-1 or 0-2. Champions find ways to win...
I meant whether or not we'd blow out the Panthers like we blew out teams early last year.

But yes, I agree - the Falcons are a much bigger threat than the Panthers.
