They just posted a searchable database of "phantom companies" listed in the report. I found this interesting:

I can't tell you the last time I clicked on a blind link with no explanation of what's in it or where it leads.

Already linked to the Panama Papers and declined to comment:

quote:

Kleinwort Benson is a leading private bank that offers a wide range of financial services to private and corporateclients from offices throughout the United Kingdom and Channel Islands.

No idea about what you linked

quote:

Numerous banks and institutions have been mentioned in the Panama Papers in requests to help create offshore structures for clients — again, on a legitimate basis.

But for now, they’re not talking publicly about the papers. When contacted by the Financial Times for this article, Julius Baer, Kleinwort Benson, Coutts and UBS all declined to comment.

The Wealth Management Association was also unable to comment, as its chief executive and deputy were unavailable.

Chris Andrew, managing director of Clarmond Wealth, a boutique wealth management company, was one of the few willing to speak on the record. He suggests the UK’s faltering economy has stoked hostility towards the wealthy.

It's a list of all the companies named in the panama papers with the name benson in them. I went for a few and none mentioned Tom but Im not clicking through all of those. If Tom is linked it will come out eventually I'm sure.

Does Bree's not make enough to be recognized with the other greats of our society? We should give him more.

This. The couple I looked up were obviously from the UK. One family trust was from the North East, administered by Scott Benson? Any relation?

Inclusion on the list is not a bad thing. And definitely not necessarily illegal.

Bill Gates Investment, LLC is on there and he is widely thought of as a great philanthropist. I'd much prefer he give money directly to vetted charitable works than the US or any other Govt.

It's more efficient and less corrupt, if vetted properly, which I'm sure is someone's full time job.

BENSON PORTFOLIO S.A.

This one could be something. He moved several of his business operations to San Antonio some time ago and he's still got multiple family/financial ties to that area.

Or S.A. could stand for something totally different all together.

S. A. Is some sort of legal business designation similar to LLC or some such. It does not mean San Antonio.
