I heard from media that he was being difficult with coaches and whatnot. IF true, why would he act like that in a contract year?

As I said yesterday, all sides/people involved were being very emotional about this issue and it led to non-rational behavior by all of them.

CJGJ started this shite in the offseason. With reports of the two sides being $4MM apart and him yelling at coaches during practice, he needed to go.
Loomis/Ireland don't appear to make many emotional or hasty decisions.

We have a strong enough lockerroom to handle it. Period. Its mild and typical frustration of what he's going through. Teammates are used to him and know how he is. He's too good of a talent to let walk for a 5th when we're trying to make a playoff run this year.
I would have told Philly we need a 4th or we'll let him play his last year out. Period. The frick we're going to do with a 5th? Trade it for a 6th?

Do you think that the Philadelphia locker room has any concerns over him? If his value was effectively zero then why would they take on the risk? It doesn't make sense

IDK, it seems like Saints played this like straight business. They shipped him off because they knew that it would be a net positive. Unless you're point is that they took less in the trade just to get rid of him.

Because there is no relationship between Philadelphia and CGJ, and thus, no built up animosity between the two sides. The risk is low for the Eagles given what they paid for him. CGJ now goes into a new situation knowing he's in a "prove it" year with no expectation of the Eagles giving him the contract he wants. So I doubt he has the same angst towards his new team. Best case scenario, the Eagles get a highly motivated player for one season. Worst case scenario he is a pain in the arse and the Eagles can quickly move on with no remorse because they didn't give up much to get him.

He doesn't have any bad blood with Philly, and reportedly they will play him at Safety so he has a shot to prove his worth (more than a nickelback)

Constant attempts by new teams to rehab players they always liked or have some connection to.
