Perhaps it has been discussed, I'm just getting home and it was on my mind...

I think someone was juicing the noise meter in the dome tonight. Prior to this game, the loudest I've seen that thing was 109-110ish decibels. On at least a dozen occasions tonight, you'd have the meter in the 106-109 range then BOOM, jumped up to 125 decibels without any noticeable sound level change, and would drop back down to the 106-109 range. Loudest I saw it all night was 128dBa.

Just a random observation. Once things get unrealistic like that, it takes away its purpose.

I was wondering the same thing. Agreed it never topped 110 all season, but, it was really damn loud today. I was wondering how much of that was reality.

I noticed that too. Seemed contrived but who cares.

And maybe they moved where the meter is located. With KC Chiefs getting up to 142 dB a few years back, I think the 120s is reasonable.

Yea there is no way it gets 120+ the most I’ve seen it during th regular season is around 107ish. They just do that to get the crowd to scream even louder.

Nonetheless it was loud as hell in the dome. Fans did their part

Hopefully they put it in the 200 range come this weekend so the RAMs receive permanent hearing damage.

I'm pumped. Sorry I posted on a Saints message board about something that I noticed inside the Dome tonight.

The highest I saw it get was 118. I always figured it was bs, but since it's not being ridiculous, maybe it isn't.

Noise Meter Tomfoolery in the Dome Today by TigerTatorTots

Only one team has been proven guilty of crowd noise "Tomfoolery".

That team is the Atlanta Falcons.

Ingram said the same thing in this post game interview.
He said he’s never seen it so high and sent a shot out to WhoDatNation. Was a pretty funny interview.

It could definitely get that loud. It was louder today than any of the regular season games. What it won't do is get to 125 then drop to 108 then go back to 125 in the span of 3-4 seconds.

it was defiantly one of the loudest games I've been to...Ive been going to Saints games for over 20 years, and tonight was in the top 5. The noise had an impact on at least 5 plays.

My ears are ringing substantially. The ears says it was louder than the 106 peak I saw all year...but I dont know if it was 20db louder and then up to the 128db we saw.

They were trolling the Eagles who they believe were trolling the Saints. All in good fun. No need to be scared little man.
