Making MT the highest paid does nothing to effect this year.
He also wouldn't be the highest paid for long.

Nobody has ever won the super bowl twice with a quarterback with the last name brees. Looks like we will break a few of these this year

No team that lost the last 3 games of the regular season has ever won a Super Bowl.

I agree with this but we’re all in right now. We have one maybe 2 seasons left with brees then it’s rebuild. Who was the high paid receiver to win one?

Diva WRs with zero rings:

All of them
(Except Uncle Keyshawn, whose defense got him one)

You realize Thomas won't be the highest paid WR for more than a couple years right? Also, I rather pay MT13 $20m than someone like Carr or Stafford $25m.

ETA: shite I rather pay Thomas that much more than Brown, OBJ, or Julio Jones. Thomas loves NOLA and plays with a chip on his shoulder, something that won't change when he's paid.

If we sign him before Julio signs his contract, Julio’s contract may end up being higher than MT13. If that’s the case, I’m down with the OP’s title.

Randy Moss never won a Super Bowl. Came pretty close with the Pats in 2007.

Honestly I'm ok with Michael Thomas getting a huge contract. He's been a huge part of this team's resurgence as a Super Bowl contender since 2017. They will certainly have to be selective going forward when signing other big contracts.

If true maybe Mike will take 1$ below the current highest paid receiver.

Somebody already stated no team lost last 3 games and won Superbowl. Saints proved that wrong. This is ESPN trying to create a story.

The only thing we have to worry about is L.A. based officials w/ sight problems.

Never thought I would miss Ed Hoculli or Mike Carey as refs.

No team with a retired QB named Archie Manning has ever won a Superbowl.
