Gary Cavaletto retires after 19 seasons, all as either a side judge or field judge. He wore number 60 for his entire career. This past season, he worked as a swing field judge, substituting on a different crew every week.
Cavaletto worked 13 postseason assignments including 3 Wild Card Playoffs, 4 Divisional Playoffs, 5 Conference Championships and Super Bowl XLVI. He worked the 2018 NFC Championship Game between the Los Angles Rams and the New Orleans Saints and was principal official in the call broke the internet.

Frick him. He should have never seen the field again.

That dumbass should have been forced into retirement after that game. Hope it rains on him every day of his retirement.

surprised it took that bat this long to retire. but maybe it would have been too obvious to retire immediately after taking a significant bride to make one of the worst calls of all time...and at one of the biggest moments in a playoff game.

he should get sideswiped in his car (no injuries), have the other person be at full fault........and the cop issues no ticket to the other driver.....who is uninsured.

The entire officiating crew was complicit.
At any point the crew could have huddled to get the call right.
The NFL office could have called down to the field.
In overtime, with the Saints driving to potentially win the game, Brees was hit in the face while his targeted WR was held creating an interception. There was no replay or double set of flags on the play.
The entire officiating crew was given "points of emphasis" by Rich McKay, the Chairman of the Competition Committee and the President and CEO of the Falcons to not enforce controversial penalties that would win the game for the Saints.
The NFL is stated entertainment. As part of the NFL marketing strategy, the Rams made the Superbowl to help the league's investment in the Los Angeles market.
The subsequent current Rams Superbowl victory was all part of the league's operating business plan and model.

Good. Not gonna lie, that no call hurt worse than the Minneapolis Miracle

They needed a couple of years of separation. He got a big payment from the league for giving them what they wanted.

I hope that L.A. POS is lowered naked inch-by-inch on fire into a Los Angeles sewage treatment plant...

The man did his job. The NFL admitted in court they are not a truly competitive sport, but only entertainment. As mad as it may make us, he only did what he was supposed to do to make the NFL maximum money. He was a model employee.

Fuuuk that g@d da#% piece of mother fuuuking sh#$. That bit#$ is why I no longer believe that the NFL is anything more then bought and paid for outcomes. The idea that we are supposed to believe that his dumb a$$ did not see the worst non call in the history of sports is totally unrealistic. He cheated for the team the NFL wanted in the superbowl. Had that same play happen to the rams receiver, how much do you want to bet he throws a flag. NFL games are bought and paid for. We tune in to see who the NFL wanted to win and that's it.

Make sense, the Rams finally got their Super Bowl. They don't need his help anymore. He can enjoy life now. SOB.
