Nnamdi Asomugha is still considering signing with the San Francisco 49ers or New Orleans Saints this offseason.

The two best options in this case for the former Pro Bowl corner back. The 49ers would instantly give him a chance to win a Super Bowl. The New Orleans Saints would reunite him with defensive coordinator Rob Ryan where they were together in Oakland. Either way he would be placed in a better situation to succeed.

if he takes this long to pick a team, how long you think it'd take him to contemplate a double move made by Julio Jones?

Filler article. It is blowing my mind that he is waiting so long to decide. Unless he is hoping another team gets involved, I don't see what the holdup is.

The longer this drags out the more I fear it will be the 49ers.

At this point I just want a decision. I am not sure if the Saints are really interested in anyone else, so it may not bother our front office on how long he mulls this thing over.

I'm guessing both offers suck equally and his agent is hoping one of them gets antsy and ups the offer.

Noticed that too

I guess we don't deserve any credit after last year, but we sure as hell have just a good a shot as them

They are basing that statement off San Fran's defense, which is already pretty nasty.

We on the other hand are a ? at the moment on defense.

I love how we are being completely dismissed by the media this season. I'm sure Payton and Drew love it too....

This could last all the way up until the draft, as that's the first time any real pressure gets put on him to make a decision, since (a) we could draft a replacement for / alternative to him and (b) we will have to sign draftees/udfa's to contracts, eating up cap space.

fwiw I really couldn't care less if he signs or not. He'd be a coup at this point but I think we'd be pretty solid with Greer/Lewis and Robinson at nickel.

I just want to see us fill another weakness. The less positions of need in the draft the better.

Nnamdi Asomugha is still torn between #49ers and #Saints, I'm told. But New Orleans pushing really hard to get him. #Staytuned
