You are not considering that 1/3 of those teams' offensive stats were compiled against the stellar Saints D
as in "to court," or as in "to hunt?"

I can't wait till all you Jarvis Jones suckers re-evaluate the Kenny Vaccaro pick in six months, end of the season, later on, etc... Even without Victor Butler then, Vaccaro would have remained near the very top spot on our draft board (per coaches), and Jarvis would have remained nowhere in sight; the pick would have been the same. Based on the evident need at the position (OLB), it would have been easy for SP, ML, RR, to pick Jones without reservation, cause that's what most of you wanted them to do, but these guys know what they are doing. Go watch film on Vaccaro, and you will be re-assured of this fact. The dude can play both safety spots and CB in Nickle and Dime situations (and probably straight-up, if we asked him to.) He's gonna be a hell of playmaker in the backfield, which is arguably just as important a need as are pass-rushing linebackers in a multi-set 34. He needs to improve his ball skills, but that's not a liability if you consider that a dropped interception is still a pass defended, and so we can afford to wait for that part of his game to improve. Just wait and see. They know what they are doing

Both games will be shown on ESPN2 and ESPN3**
not on my espn2, I got ladies tennis
because he hasn't been cut or traded, and he's still under contract and alive

Don't want, unless the Saints get him. Then it's the best thing since sliced bread

fwiw I really couldn't care less if he signs or not. He'd be a coup at this point but I think we'd be pretty solid with Greer/Lewis and Robinson at nickel.

But wouldn't it be sweet?

I am getting to this point as well.

Don't give up hope, Hugo. You're the champion of the cause. :spank:
This could last all the way up until the draft, as that's the first time any real pressure gets put on him to make a decision, since (a) we could draft a replacement for / alternative to him and (b) we will have to sign draftees/udfa's to contracts, eating up cap space.

Eta he still has that jersey, and we still go inside the framework at some point during every home game.

hmmm. Ricky Williams jersey? or Mike McKenzie?

It's a "QUESTION MARK" (brother's name is mark) custom jersey

You are correct. I am thinking of another situation and cant put my finger on it. I will find it.

We can't put a third round tender on him.

We can either put a "no compensation" tender (because of his udfa status), or a first or second round tender, or sign him to a long-term deal.

Change your avatar picture, brah
I heard all three are, as we speak, negotiating contracts with Bayern Munich.
It's not about the weed, people, or how easy it would be to procure it.

singletary has never coordinated a defense i don't think. also their D didn't have a pass rushing anchor like aldon smith until harbaugh got there. we need a guy like that

Good point...and no doubt.

However, he didn't officially "coordinate" because he was their HC, but the defense was his.... and the overall system and personnel structure in place (plus a few recently added impact players) is the defense they currently have. Part of our problem has been scouting and selecting defensive talent, in general; he has proven to be proficient in that area.

Mike Singletary

Yes.

Guy didn't win consistently in SF, but he coached a good defense.

This.

Mike Singletary was easily a bad head coach, but give him scheme and personnel autonomy on the defensive side of the ball, with no other distractions and ..... Well, just look at SF's defense now.
