But scouting reports of what GM’s Coaches think about a player clearly showed that this player was widely projected to be a guard due to his measurables. So quit crying.

Did it say he was going to be a successful starting guard in the NFL moron? Probably not.

Thats what I’m arguing. Maybe understand another person’s position before spewing bullshite. You cry more than anyone on this board and act like you’re above it. Go cry a river.

Maybe but from a talent perspective hes a 4th round pick who honestly hasn’t shown much. Now expecting him to switch positions and be a competent starter? In my opinion I think you’re asking for a bit much. Again everything on this oline is dependent on internal development.

An argument could be made that it would be easier for him to play guard in the nfl than it would be for him to play tackle. I’m just saying it isn’t as hard of a switch as you make it out to be. Just have to be strong enough to anchor down on those big DTs. However you don’t have to worry about blocking some of those freak defensive ends that tackles do that get paid 20/30 mill a year. It would be much harder to go from guard to tackle.

I mean thats a sound argument. My worry though even if he makes that transition is he a NFL “starting” guard? He doesn’t have much help on that line especially with a guy like Penning next to him. I feel like even if the switch is successful expecting him to be a capable decent starting guard this early would be a big ask. If he was surrounded by talented guys maybe not a big deal. But he has absolutely no real help on that line.

So your concern is that you don’t feel good about the line as a whole. Or at least that side of the line. I get that for sure. We have a whole lot of ifs and not a lot of contingency.

Bingo we’re banking on too many “ifs”- we literally have 3 ifs on that line. I’m ok with Fuaga. Saldiveri and Penning are just huge question marks.

look, my whole worry about the damn offense is Carr learning and executing the playbook all season long. He's a veteran in the league and seen his share of coaching changes. A lot of them haven't mattered because he's his such a middling guy.

If the Saints play more under center football and use the play action game more with an improved running game, then I'll bite.

then you factor all these potential new starters into the fold. Penning is still new to me. Different side on the line and not many games started.

Come on.

Wahhhh she says, still crying.

Get over it Nancy. Saldiveri was drafted to be in the spot he’s at your just clueless, and def didnt draft research, or even read about the Saints reasons for the Saldiveri pick.

Most actual FANS on here already knew the Saints wanted Saldiveri at guard, and that he had elite RAS scores etc, to be able to make that switch.

I’m done having a logical conversation with a dumbass like you. So I’ll conversate the only way you can understand.

“Waaaah keep crying Nancy!”

PS- Most your threads shite on Trump supporters, you support Lebron, support covid vaccines, call people “Karens”- you’re nothing but a liberal woke arse trying to act like a wannabe conservative on this board. You’re a fricking joke of a poster.

When you personally made that switch in the NFL please let us then know of the difficulty.

Otherwise saying something is difficult when you personally have no first hand knowledge of doing it is honestly just a bunch of BS.

Karens unite to be retarded! Its like nfl GMs and Coaches never projected Saldi as a guard. Lets pretend like he didnt measure with short arms meaning he wasnt going to be a tackle.

You guys are so stupid, lol, waaahhh she cries.

IF our young OL comes together and haves just an AVG year (per PFF & other metrics) it will put us in the position to win games. It starts and ends up front IMO.

OL was a top 5 unit in terms of pressure allowed the last 6 weeks of 2023. Consequently, Carr had his best stretch of game. But there’s more bad tape than good last year.

Now you have to replace 3 guys and their 2,500+ combined snaps. And replenish the depth. Need that anchor to replace Ram. I think the guards will be serviceable and not a huge drop
