Chase Daniel Scouting Report by Baylin
Pros: His ability to find passing lanes despite his lack of ideal height reminds me a lot of Drew Brees. He has a very accurate arm, and can make most of the throws an NFL quarterback needs to make. Is very desisive. Makes quicks decisions and they are usually the right ones.
Cons: Lacks ideal height for an NFL quarterback. His arm is not that strong. Must learn to take snaps from under center and work on a dropback.
Overall: Daniel can be a solid quarterback in the NFL if he can learn to take snaps from under center. Like Brees, he will overcome his lack of size with smarts and accuracy.
Chase Daniel Scouting Report by PROBOWL
Pros: Very accurate and on-time thrower. Puts up very impressive numbers. Knows how to lead a team from the bottom to the top. Has good scrammbling ability.
Cons: Only 6'1. His hieght will hurt him in the eyes of NFL scouts. Operates in a 90% passing offense.
Overall: Daniel is high on the 2009 Heisman list. Colt Brennan's success in the NFL might serve some benefit to Chase Daniel. Proving that he isn't just a "system quarterback". Has great 1st round attributes.

Let's see... he was too short coming out of a college whose primary colors were Black and Gold...

skins msg board comments-
ah damnit... why did we not sign him as a third QB... so annoying
skins=fools
We will regret this.
I guess we have someone else in mind. This team, after this year will be overhaulded by a new HC. We are slow to react when there is possible talent available and fast to react when nothing is out there
Don't worry, I think we made the right move. Last time we passed on a height challenged QB who went on to play for the Saints he...oh...wait...nvm.
I wish him luck, but I don't expect much from him.
Good move by chase.
Now he gets to learn behind a much better QB and offensive coaching staff.

both listed at 6 even...I doubt either of them are really that tall though.

Drew is at least 6'0". I got his autograph at training camp. I'm almost 5-11 and I was looking up at him.

Hahaha! This one is priceless!
I remember a LOT of people around here (not "around here" as in TD, but around here in general) saying the same thing about Brees being too short...
I think this is a VERY good move.. Learn from Payton, Brees AND Brunell and in a few years, be our next QB Prodigy!
