Right. I'm expecting significant decrease in mobility coming off ACL tear. If he can't escape the rush and he takes a long time delivering the ball then what does that equal?

I think he was on his way to having a really good year even with the lackluster WR and TE talent. Unless our OL can all remain healthy then I think Winston is going to have a tough time and take some serious hits.

IF 16 and 19 fall that way, you go BPA at #49 and steal someone you were not expecting on the board. Upgrade the roster with another playmaker on OFF or DEF. Not sold on Corral.

Romo

But you are correct that most recent successes at QB have come in the first round.

Picks 16 & 19 sound great.

3rd pick should be BPA. Why do so many people think we need 2 WRs in the first 3 picks? That's not happening & shouldn't' happen.

would be really cool with Mel's draft, but I would love to see the Saints draft 2 WRs with their top 3 picks.

Problem is we've only drafted two successful WRs in the last 16 years (Colston and Thomas). We suck at it, or we just suck at developing them.

someone else mentioned Dak which is a good one. In the last 5 years yes but even then is depending on how Good Jalen Hurts, davis mills, and Drew Lock is going forward all later round picks in the last 5 years who will probably be starting this year. Point being finding a successful QB after round one is by no means unheard of. It's almost like qood QBs after round one take longer to develop....who knew.

Eh Brandin Cooks has been good and eventually turned into Ram I'd call that a win.

I'd take that and be happy. I'm not 100% on Corral, but at 49 it's worth the shot. I'd prefer a DB.

How many high picks did we actually spend on WRs though? Meachem underperformed but wasn’t horrible. Cooks has been a very good NFL WR. Not sure who else we grabbed early since Brees could elevate their play so much.

Dak Prescott, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson, Jimmy G., Tom Brady and Davis Mills. Those are current starting QBs who were chosen in later rounds.

Manning and Elway were first overall picks, but so was Jamarcus Russell.
Brees and Favre were second round picks. Brady was a late round pick. Kurt Warner, Jeff Garcia and Warren Moon were undrafted.

Nobody knows who is or isn't going to be a good QB or not.
