I don't rush to judgment of young QBs like many fans do. I find it to be very impatient and ignorant of the game. Anyway, I really love what I see with Shough. This is the most confident I've felt in a Saints QB since Brees. This guy doesn't look like a rookie. Give him an improved line and a couple of more dynamic playmakers, and I'm confident that we have our franchise QB! WhoDat?!!!

The Saints might be leading the division if Shough started game 1. He looks pretty good. It’s good to know that the Saints don’t need to draft a starting QB and can improve other areas of the roster.

You want analysis? He has great pocket awareness, he's accurate, he can clearly read defenses and flows through his progressions with ease, he throws his receivers open when the situation allows it, he's deceptively very fast, he commands respect from his teammates, and he does a decent job of calling audibles out of bad setups. He's also 100% bought into the Louisiana culture.

Want me to go on?

Don’t give a frick about this. Be a good guy, be a guy that can elevate your teammates, and progress as a franchise QB.

That bullshite about Carr not being “part of the culture” was fricking stupid…..and really showed the ignorance of this fanbase.

Carr wasn’t the longterm answer here, and I am all in on Shough.

But that talking point was stupid

I KNOW it is high comparison but he is built, climbs the pocket, and moves like Josh Allen, and Allen had some early career INT issues. He throws with confidence, always looking downfield. As noted by others, bolster the OL & money-makers at RB/WR/TE and we should have a very competitive OFF next season.

Shough is a shite QB: intentional grounding, overthrowing, bad decision maker

Again both he and Rattler suck. But Rattler is a significant upgrade that doesn't make mental mistakes.

That is the staple of a KM Philly offense. Rattler is the starter game 1

There is no way Seaux, starts after this showing. Against the Jags of all people.
Ratts gunna come in an tear it up. Seaux, aint leading us to no touchdowns.

Sheaderx would have throw 2x touchdowns by now.

Judge him when he plays against a team with a winning record. And when he plays a couple years with consistent wins.

I love his toughness in the pocket as well. He’s taken some big shots today too. We definitely have something with him. He’s very consistent as well. Needs work on his footwork on short slants but that will come.

I think it’s meaningful to embrace the city / state you play in. This city / state will get behind you quickly if you get behind them. Thats good for momentum, fanbase, support, team building, etc.

The list of suck bags who didn’t is pretty telling.

Right now I can only judge him on what he has done so far against the teams he has played. And he has exceeded every expectation and has been a joy to watch and a beacon of hope for this franchise that been devoid of it recently.
