I'd also point to the fact that there was arguably a better option sitting on the bench for the vast majority of games started by Brooks. Jeff Blake and Jake Delhomme are both objectively better QBs than Brooks, and you don't need hindsight to see that.
Billy Joe Tolliver may or may not be a better QB than Brooks depending on who you ask, but I feel certain that if Tolliver had come in for Blake in that first Saints game where Brooks played, Haslett would have had a much better tenure with the team.

Fred thomas was a warrior for the saints. He did have a couple of bad years when he was washed up but when he was playing his best as a pro for a few years he was a great player for us.

Just like them, you want to hear people agree with your POV or they are "Canceled" to you.
