I wonder if he and Kelvin Benjamin had a weight gain contest.

Did you see this? Doesn't look like he lost speed.

KB misunderstood that it was supposed to be muscle, not just weight.

Poor fat bastard, who is fat.

My favorite part

10lbs is a lot. Physics will say he has sacrificed some of the above.

Ehhh I feel like lots of guys put on a good bit of weight in the off season when they rehab and are more focused on getting stronger. Then they lose it all the first month or so of the preseason/practice sessions.

He will probably start the season game 1 5 lbs heavier than he ended last year, but not a full 10 i would think

I don't know why you got downvoted with this Lester it's a pretty accurate statement.

I also think it's one of the reasons guys get injured. 220 is a lot of weight to be running outside routes , cutting, planting, etc on... even if the weight added was "good weight".

as a blanket statement this isn't correct, but if you don't know what the composition of the weight is, and what muscle groups have been strengthened, it's pointless to debate.

Saying he is automatically slower is like saying dropping a heavier engine into a car will make the car run slower. It depends on the engine.

Oh I far from believe 230 or the listed 210...he looks bigger than his rookie year.

Its definitely 220-225, I just said 230 to keep it by 10. Lol.

AJ green is a beanpole. He's probably closer to 200 than he is 220

This is 6'3" 220

Right, Julio came out at 6'3" 220 and ran sub 4.4

He'd run a 4.2 if he bounced up to 230 if he was on the saints

I'm much happier to read Thomas is working on route running and technique and how hungry he is. These "best shape of their lives" stories will be a plenty this time of the year

What will saints do at WR if Micheal Thomas runs a 4.65 at his next timed 40?????

Thats an opinion stated as a fact.

Anybody worried about a skinny (albeit very good) rookie wr packing on 10 healthy lb's is nuts

He's not going to be a speed guy regardless. I look at it as similar to what a guy like Anquan Boldin did. He came in a skinnier (215 lb) and "slow" WR. He bulked up to make a living doing the dirty work. Route running, hands and footwork were on point
