I'm not sure why he missed the last few games of last year or why they actually released him. But, he seems to be a better option than Strief at RT if he's available at a decent price.

Thoughts?

The four-year, $20 million deal Oher signed last March was viewed as a ludicrous overpay before the ink even dried, and he proved the doubters right by going out and having a(nother) dreadful season. Due no guaranteed money for 2015, Oher was slated to make $4 million. $3.35 million of that would have become guaranteed had Oher remained on the Titans' roster through Friday, however. His release was an absolute no-brainer for the worst team in football. Oher is still only 29 (in May), but has been ineffective his entire career. He'll search for work as someone's No. 4 tackle. Oher graded out 75th of 84 qualifying tackles in 2014, per Pro Football Focus, which rates player performance.

My thoughts are that no one would be discussing him at this point if it weren't for Hollywood.

In no way is he or was he better than Strief outside of the ONE year Strief played through injury and struggled and no one seems able to forget that year.

Strief is an above average RT. Oher is and always has been an overrated piece of trash.

Other was terrible. Not sure what happened, but he went from being a good guard to a great left tackle to a bad left tackle to a terrible right tackle. Strief and Armstead are better than Oher. Hell, pretty sure Charles Brown is better than Oher at this point.

Except that we already have Strief locked up and he's one of the best RTs in the league

Maybe Sandra Bullock needs to tell him to protect this family again and then he'll be worth a shite again

I'm not gonna lie, I'm down on PFF this year. I think they expanded their crew to quickly, and lost the consistency that the core group had.

To me, it's insane to say that Brady had a -2 game in the Super Bowl.

Oher is not better than Streif, at all!

Bringing in Oher for a tryout should be fairly cheap, and he could provide depth if he is healthy and could be a good backup.....He has experience at both tackle positions and guard, which is exactly what you want in a backup......Considering we do not have another LT on the roster besides Armstead, getting a former starting LT would be a good idea, if he still has something left

Ding, ding, ding...

I liked the movie the 1st & 2nd time I saw it. Once they began playing it EVERY day, it got old quick!
