I'll wait until they get the opinion of the guy on who steals credit cards before I decide.

LOL

He has been hated on here since literally the draft.

And it hasn't mattered when he's played well or poorly. He was still absolutely despised on here.

Don't care if people like him or hate him, the contract is just a disaster. No rationale whatsoever to invest that much in him based on his resume.

No way anyone was offering him anywhere near that amount so why did we?

I am seeing the Chiefs board that they were interested in Peat...But I don't think for that kind of money...

Most were excited for Byrd at the time of signing, it was a huge pickup at a position of need. Back to back All-Pro seasons coming in and it seemed like he’d be a leader on D for years to come...

...that just didn’t pan out unfortunately and he fell off a cliff/got hurt. That shite happens, doesn’t make it retroactively the wrong decision to sign him at the time when his future seemed bright.

Peat is a different story. The dude has been mostly garbage since he got to the league and has gotten destroyed in the playoffs when it matters most the last couple seasons. We have a 40+ HOF QB...we don’t need him getting hurt again.

This is a terrible signing

I think he's average when healthy and versatile, but he is not worth $11 million/year. That is absurd. Even if it is a 3-year deal, it is utterly stupid to pay such an injury prone player that much.

I get it when they are all-world when healthy like Armstead, but not for a mediocre player that is always injured.

Hey man I don’t disagree with anything you said. I even have a Jairus Byrd Jersey. Wtf am I going to do with that? I’m just glad it’s not a peat jersey.

Did you watch him? We paid him top 5 guard money and he can’t compete against good defenders. Minnesota and Atlanta literally threw their ends on the inside bc they knew they would smash him. He is fine against average and mediocre defenders but against good defenders he gets man handled consistently. I understand getting beat occasionally by good defenders but he gets handled almost every play. You have to win some of those battles. This signing isn’t winning football. It was an insane overpay for an average offensive lineman. I don’t get it.
