You’re not disapproving my point.
Here’s list of QBs that have completed 74% or more for an entire season
Bo Nix
Colt McCoy
Joe Burrow
Kellen Moore
Shedeur Sanders
That’s it.

Why are you cutting it off at 74%??? Is there a huge difference between 74% and 72%??? Or does the list of nobodies get a lot longer??? I mean hell, Zach Wilson completed 73.5% one season. Why don’t we just trade for him and use the 9th overall pick on something else?
There isn’t a qb in this draft that would have been drafted in the first round last year. You can be impressed by his completion % all you want. You brought up his completion % in comparison to Burrow and Daniels and I simply said they did it against actual competition and it has translated to the NFL. Even Bo Nix faced stiffer competition than Sanders has in his career.
Also you forgot Mac Freaking Jones on your list, but again, he did it against actual competition

He will be loud and disruptive like his dad.

Having a bunch of meek, yes men, journeymen level talents, has done us so well for the past 3 years.
Let’s be real. The team needs some swagger and confidence. Shedeur would be an injection of that. Is he a perfect prospect? No. But, he has improved every single year he’s played and he’s not a dumb football player. He actually reads the field and is accurate. If Moore is worth a damn as a coach, he will easily be able to coach Shedeur up to speed.
If not, we will suck for the next 3 years and try again with another coach and QB.
There is literally no risk here as we already suck. We are in 05/06 Saints territory at this point. It’s time to stop trying to go 7-10 every year and take a swing.

You really don’t know why I put it at 74%? Because the conversation is about a particular person. His completion percent is 74%. Would make sense to make that the cut off. If you can’t even comprehend that then there’s no point in having a conversation with someone that can’t even critically think.
And completion percentage doesn’t mean they will be good or bad. It helps though to get out to the right spot. Anticipation and throwing it to the right spot is what’s more important. But hell Bo Nix has a decent rookie year.

I can guarantee no matter who get's picked at #9 a large portion of the fan base will hate it. Travis Hunter could fall to #9 and this board would melt if we picked him.

I get it but that’s personal opinions of people. I was trying to make the point that from a football stand point.
You literally implied he has an attitude problem outside of football

No. I was acknowledging that I know some people hate on him for that. I was getting ahead of it before that was thrown around.

completed 74% of his throws last season despite being under constant pressure.
Holds the ball too long. His WR looked like an alien he was so much more athletic than the people guarding him. Then other WRs were wide open because team was focused on Hunter. The other WRs never had to worry about the safety.
What Sanders showed, does not translate to NFL. He is overrated because of this last name and playmakers around him.

If Sanders is one of their top choices at 9 and is there, then I say take him. There isn't a QB drafted that will be a consensus, either way, on this board.
Screw it. You can't hit on a QB if you never take one.

I don't know what to make of Sanders but I trust Kellen Moore exactly because he put up big numbers himself and best understands why he didn't work in the NFL to know what traits he was missing and find a QB with such traits.

Sanders will inject some life into this pathetic ran organization and you 1960 mentality fans..

I think someone is trying to tank Shedeur but I don't see the 2nd best qb falling to 9. I'd rather take a CB or safety or DL or WR at 9. Whoever is best at those positions jsut take him.

I'm pretty anti taking a CB in the first two rounds this year, but this one isn't *that* bad.
That said, there are still some stellar names on the board at this pick
41. TreyVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
44. Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
47. Tyler Booker, G, Alabama (MY PICK)
52. Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
53. Nic Scourton, DE, TAMU
55. Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
A few awesome guys went just a few picks ahead of us in the mock:
Luther Burden at 38
Emeka Egbuka at 36
Walter Nolan at 39

Yes and he made sure to let that be known on his podcast.

Kiper sucks dick at his job. If Campbell, Graham or Warren are there at 9 you have to take them IMO. Colston Loveland is also a guy who is an absolute freak at TE that is flying under the radar. What I wish we would do would be trade back and grab an extra pick in the 2nd and more picks next year when we have more cap relief. If we can find a trade partner that picks in the 20s I would take a chance on Jaxon Dart.
