Not probably. Total melt. I’d probably melt if we took him at 40

That being said, there are so many holes in this team that it would almost be counterproductive to draft Dart and surround him with dogshit. Now if he’s there when we pick at 40 hell yes I’m taking him and not thinking twice about it.

I agree with the first sentence. But I don’t even really want him at 40 either.

I don’t think he’s that good of a QB. But even if he’s an average NFL QB, our talent level needs to be upgraded or it doesn’t matter if Tom Brady was QB. Also, get a mid QB like Dart next year where we can benefit from only one year of Carr instead of having to stick around multiple years and not getting the benefit of a starting rookie QB contract.

Saints taking Dart at 9. He will become a bust is easily to live with than Turner or Davenport. Saints taking a shot to get a franchise QB is a great strategy.

I don’t dislike Dart but, my god this is not the year to take a qb. You have to be patient. People are right in saying you aren’t anything without a qb. Well this isn’t the year to find your qb. This is a legendary defensive draft and has a lot of insanely good interior olineman and RBs. All of which we need.

Dart is horrible. My first thought is that I’m going to be pretty mad if we get him amd guys like Tyler Warren, Tetairoa McMillan, or like 30 other great players are still on the board at #9.

…………….Then again, if Dart somehow makes it in the NFL it will be a fantastic pick since QBs trump everything else basically.

I said the Falcons selection of Michael Penix could be a good pick last year if he turned out to be a good NFL QB. It looks like the Falcons could very well be right and the thousands of haters who ridiculed them could all be wrong about that pick if Penix does well as the starter this year.

I had no idea Dart was that big size wise
Dart at 9 goes against what you should do with the players you will be passing up

Denver did something similar last year with Nix

The pick of penix wasn’t the issue. It was spending 150 million on cousins and wasting all of that money only to draft penix. Theres no other way to spin that, it was asinine. Now, they better be right about penix or everyone in that facility is gonna get fired. I like penix but he didn’t look good last year. He didn’t look awful either. But, they better be right.

He always looked smaller than 6’2 225 when i watched them play. He’s bigger than Rat.

With pro coaching he’s got more upside than Sanders .
I don’t think the Saints do it though. They think Spencer is the heir apparent

I know everyone loves to hate on Kiper because he has had some blunders in the past but he's been doing this for 40 years and he gets more right than wrong.

That said if this was accurate We would pass on the Top Offensive Lineman, Top Cornerback, and Top Wide Receiver in this draft to take the Third best QB in a weak QB draft....I would melt if that happens. And I'm a recorded sunshine pumper.

No problem with it. Hell, grab Tre Harris at 40, too. Wanna help an oline out? Get a qb that can threaten with his legs

I think Tre would be a homerun for the saints current roster

I wouldn't like it at first but I could come around to it if it means he starts Year 2 after sitting behind Carr and developing with Tolzien, Moore and Nuss

Anybody who bases their eval on how a player performed vs the 2023 LSU Defense should lose their job as a scout

Naw. He had game one us. The fact that our defense sucked doesnt mean that Dart isnt good.

There’s a reason he’s being projected by Kiper to go at 9 now.
