I live in Dallas but holy frick how in the fricking hell a 5-4 team gets 3 hours plus of talking head bullshite over an 8-1 team and three 7-2 teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted on 11/13/17 at 12:41 pm to 50_Tiger
Just be glad they are not 7-2 then you would get 24 hours non-stop

They had a whole segment on GMFB this morning about whether or not the Saints were the best team in the NFC. I kid you not, the hosts maybe each said 5 words a piece about the Saints, and then diverted each topic to Eagles or Rams. Vikings got a little love also.

I live in Dallas area too and that's just the way the stupid Cowboys fanboy media works. Even when they suck they get all the attention for how/why they sucked because of how many people love the Cowboys... despite that they suck.

Good. Continue to fly under the radar until playoff time.

That was cool hearing Smith compare the Dome's home field to Seattle.
Everyone slobbers all over CenturyLink so it's nice hearing someone who has played in both stadiums give us props.

Deion pissed me off last week
LT was talking about the saints and Sanders intercedes and says you can't name anyone on the saints D
No one was seeing the vikes or saints as contenders and had CAR/DAL/SEA instead
Absurd

Even when we get praise from the national media it’s pretty generic.

I moved to Seattle a few years ago and it is indeed very loud at Centurylink, but it's got to be because of the stadium's construction and not because of the fans. Seattle sports culture is trash.

I think that girl might be a closet Saints homer. I want to meet her

I'm stationed at JBLM and couldn't agree more with this statement. I love taking trash to these fans.

Saints will be the epicenter of the NFL talk next few weeks. 7 game winning streak and likely are going to be playing an 8-2 Los Angeles team next week, then an 8-3 Panthers team for the NFC South lead the next week. Gonna be a fun stretch

No kidding. NFL network talks football non stop. ESPN today talked about everything else including how guys dresses and kaperdick. ESPN is frickin horrible.

I've told y'all my theory, right?
TV plays more Dallas games all over the country than any other team because they believe that's what people want to watch.
However, it's my opinion that people will watch what you put in front of them, especially if they're good with playoff implications.
Essentially, the TV markets have created a false Dallas fanbase, and uses it an excuse to show more Dallas games.

Watched both links. Good stuff. There was a part where Sharpe was talking about us and I almost cried tears of joy in front of everyone at work.
Paraphrasing here but Dickerson went first and obviously picked Rams, then Sharpe was talking about us and at one point said:
Sharpe: They ran the ball 24 times in a row.
Dickerson: In a row? Man that's good.
Coming from a guy like Dickerson who played in a more run heavy era, that's high praise. Even back in the day 24 runs in a row would be very impressive. To do it in modern football is near unheard of.

It's real and is studied and researched. It's called Agenda Setting. People only talk about things they see on TV. If they don't see them on TV, it's not discussed at the water cooler. So if ESPN covers the Cowboys ad nauseam, people think they're important and talk about them, and then everyone tunes in to see what the fuss is about. They create their own demand. If 45 minutes of SportsCenter was dedicated to the Jaguars, people would be talking about and demanding to watch the Jaguars.

Dickerson was D riding his former team
But honestly you could see it in Sharpe's eyes. He knew we were special. Dickerson didn't know dick about the Saints prior to that interview and it was exposed in that interview.
Every point Dickerson made applied to the Saints minus we had a SB winning, HOF QB to back us up
In 2 weeks everybody will know. Saints are fricking everybody up.
