Why would opposition owners want to help Gayle to make the Saints
a contender. I remember when John Mecom took the owners advice and hired an astronaut to be GM.That worked out well.

don’t know if this title is correct. Sounds like McCarthy demands some level of control as HC and people are talking smack about the power structure of the Saints organization.

yeah sounds like mike knows mickey aint WAF and has said as much. him comingh here would be with huge stipulations in the contract over control and salary cap issues etc.

I think it’s more they don’t want the saints to be an absolute joke in their management.

That's a horrible take by Chad504Boy.

Pretty bad take. Mickey isn’t outsmarting anyone lol….

And like they said on the radio this morning, of course they not high on McCarthy, he probably asked the right questions during their talks and Mickey didn’t like that….

Been saying for over a year now, Mickey wants a yes man that won’t question him. It’s gonna be someone new with not a lot of clout. Probably why we are the last team to hire someone. We are the only show in town now….

We don't know if it was other orgs. It was pretty cagey in the writing.

The League itself has and will provide owners outside consultants if they ask

To me it reads like it means that Gayle is getting calls from other owners telling her to cut ties with Mickey. I could be wrong, but that's how it reads. Josina is trying not to nuke Mickey from orbit and is holding back saying that explicitly.

Thr Saints will hire Moore the day after the SB. Book it

I kind feel like they're trying to do everything the can to justify not hiring Rizzi.

McCarthy is the only candidate left that's clearly better than Rizzi. Everyone else including Rizzi is a roll of the dice, who knows type of candidate. If McCarthy doesn't want the job and you're going to roll the dice (likely for 2 or 3 years) then the clear answer is to just stick with Rizzi and let him put a staff together and see what happens with the roster.

If Rizzi is just a no go because he's from the inside then my choice would be Weaver as the crap shoot guy.

Rizzi should** mean you’ve committed to the tank with plans to rebuild. Then again Loomis is that arrogant. We basically have a Jerry jones situation with our GM.

I kinda feel like the tank has committed to the Saints.

They don't need anyone associated with Payton, Haslett, or ties to the organization. It worked out pretty well in 2006

They used to teach you not to report rumors and speculation, but that's long gone out of the window.
