Matt Ryan’s roster bonus comes due in 2 hours (4pm EST)

I think that will be telling if he’s not traded in the next 2 hours.

No one is taking Matt Ryan in the next two hours, so I hope you are right.

Jesus Christ, we clock watching again? He is going to ATL. If he was coming here, it would have already happened

My emotions are like a goddamn penny stock chart. Hurry the hell up!

Why is the sky falling around you all over the Board? There’s more legitimate smoke that he becomes a Saint than there is he becomes a Dirty Turd. Lots of moving parts involved here, this is a very unusual situation.
The fact the Saints have cleared cap space to be $30m under is a HUGE indication they are the team. No team clears that much space below the cap 4 days into FA. And they’re not doing it without some information in their favor. He’ll be a Saint.

Even if everyone shakes hands in the next 2hrs, the league still has to approve the trade to make it official.
What incentive does Matt Ryan have after (i'm guessing) being traded to walk away from this bonus - or even negotiate it down to anything less than cash in full today please?
Texans aren't taking this burden on.

What makes you so sure that he's made up his mind already?

Everybody was so sure Wilson was coming here because he loved Brees and our team, then it's because Payton left he didn't come. Lol
Go live your life, do your job, take care of shite you can control and don't sit all day on a football message board with your cock in hand.
If he comes here he comes, if he doesn't he doesn't but tomorrow your life is pretty much the same regardless

Doesn’t Ryan have a no trade clause too? Why would he approve anything before he gets that roster bonus. If I were him, I would collect my bonus and tell the falcons I want to take my time choosing my next team, just like Watson.

Love the optimism. Optimistic people live 10 years longer than negative Nancys.

The bonus doesn't pay out until April 10. (he earns it today) He could agree to push it back in the hopes of a trade/release.

I pretty optimistic that he's going to Atlanta. Did I use it right?

Ah… that’s good to know. That means they have all the time in the world to figure this out. I hope someone is checking in with Jameis…

I expect there to be some more kind of news by 3 pm. Falcons just signed a player and then Ryan is about to have a roster bonus. There was also a tweet earlier by someone with an actual blue checkmark that the Falcons NEED him to make a decision today.
Watson doesn’t seem like he wants to rush things

That would make you a Falcon fan, SaintEB! Unless of course you don’t want him in N.O.

Trade is mandatory - release is not an option for Falcons with dead money ahead. I assume he is included in Texan trade.
