Tom Brady has to have a horseshoe up his arse. Got Redskins in first round. Saints gave away 2nd game with four turnovers. Catches Green Bay when they have an off day. Not taking anything away from Tampa and im glad to see D. White and Fournette in the super bowl but holy hell would be nice if the Saints had some of that luck.

What makes this one even more bizarre:
The 2002 Saints beat the Bucs twice the year Tampa won the Super Bowl. And they lost to the teams ending up with the Nos. 1 and 2 picks in the 2003 draft (Cincy, Detroit). (Per Larry Holder)

And the Bucs beat the Packers twice.

But they didn’t have to beat them a third time to get to the Super Bowl, unlike the Saints with the Bucs.

The last seed should be by record not division winner. The Saints should have played a team with a losing record not the Bucs.

The Saints seem to peak in October and November every year

I was absolutely terrified of Tampa. Sweeping them in the regular season was meaningless.

It's Tom Brady in the playoffs.

If we did there is no question Brees is the GOAT.

Sean Payton puts together the most conservative game plans in the playoffs.
Down 17-0 vs minny 2017
Down 14-0 vs Philly, setting for 2/3 fgs vs rams 2018
Low-scoring unimaginative game vs Minny 2019
Squeeze past Bears, play scared vs Bucs 2020.

The game plans are clearly “a-hole pucker” plans. Payton called the ballsiest play in history with Ambush”—and seems to have blown his “ballsy” wod for the playoffs on that play.

Until Payton decides aggressiveness and courage is the way to go in the playoffs, expect the Saints to play down to competition in the playoffs and look like a completely different team when it counts.

It’s like his playoff game plans are the full-game equivalent to “prevent defense”.

I think we might have a better shot going in as the 10-6 wild card than as the 13-3 1-seed. It’s mind-boggling.

What does being down big have to do with being conservative? If anything, the fact that his teams were able to climb out of those holes would indicate that he wasn’t conservative. He called a fake punt down 14-0 against Philly

Pretty sure the Saints were up 14-0 against Philly

Why are you down so much in the first place?

What world do you live in where making a comeback indicates an aggressive “game plan”? Of course you’ll decide to open up the offense when down big!

Execution?
Has Andy Reid been too conservative in the playoffs the last 2 years? Down multiple scores against Houston, Tennessee, San Francisco and again vs Buffalo last night before making comebacks.

Hard to beat any team when you turn the ball over 4 times. Saints fricked their playoff game up and Tampa really is a complete team.

We should not have started a QB with shoulder and foot problems...PERIOD! He couldnt throw the ball 25 yds down field.
This is one time pride and vanity cost the team from getting into the NFCCG..
