were two wasted first round picks. Jenkins showed flashes last year, but has clearly regressed. Sed Ellis has done absolutely nothing other than the first half of last season. Oh yeah, Shanle frickin sucks. Great game today by Jabari Greer

Jenkins hasn't played great this year, but I wouldn't call him a wasted draft pick.

Malcolm Jenkins was in no way shape or form a "wasted" pick. Sed Ellis has definitely underachieved though.

This is the second year Jenkins has played at the safety position. He has underachieved but he is in no way a bust. Still has plenty of time to prove himself.

Ellis on the other hand has been extremely disappointing

He has time to improve but no ints, no gamechanging plays is a cause for concern on jenkins. He just doesn't make plays and that's not too good for a defense that needs turnovers to survive.

He had a gamechanging play today. Jenkins made the initial hit on the 4th inches.

He made a GREAT play on it

wtf are you lot seeing from Ellis that I am not? The guy is literally one of if not the best penetrating/pass rushing DT's in the league.

Ya. I dont know who you are watching but they are both better than decent. Jenkins has made a ton of clutch plays

I guess the saying goes, sacks get stacks, and since he's never had double digit sacks or even more than 8 he just doesn't get the notoriety. He was a Pro Bowl snub last season, and maybe the 1st round pick made people expect double digit sacks and multiple Pro Bowls...

Every single one of these dumbasses in this thread knows nothing about football and just spouts out stupid shite. Sedrick Ellis has been our best Dlineman for the past 3 seasons and Malcolm Jenkins is a hard-hitting safety that can play bump and run or deep cover 1/ I swear I hate practically everyone on this board now

I think our D played a solid game against an offense that WILL put up the points. There are things to improve upon, but they made crucial stops when we needed them to. Everybody loves to hate on Harper and I think he played a great game today. There are holes in our D, but they manned up today

Yes he did. Jenkins does make plays, I amend my comment. The frustration with him though is he could make so many more and just comes up short. The potential is there, but he hasnt put it together. He's dropped something like 6 ints in 2 yrs.

Yeah I routinely see sed penetrating or stuffing the line. Not his fault the linebackers don't take advantage of it.

Exactly. When our DT's take on 2 linemen they free up a hole in one of the gaps, yet our LB's are by far one of the most pathetic units when it comes to successfully blitzing. They hardly ever get through the holes our DT's create, and never ever shed blocks to get to the ball carriers and stuff the run.
