Loomis went completely away from the winning formula.

Hire a young up and coming offensive coach trying to prove himself to the league.
Instead he hires a defensive coach that already proved he couldn’t win as a head coach…..
Great job Micky.

brought in a QB that a losing franchise had moved on from.
remember when once Carr demoted, they didn't want him in the building anymore basically? Like he got his pink slip and then it was, "You can go home now."?
if that wasn't a bad sign, I don't know what is.
then you overpay for the guy on top of the that.
golf clap for Loomis.

Not necessarily true. Your two coach of the year candidates are a tight ends coach and a defensive coordinator. The team with the best record in the NFL has a special teams coach as their head coach. The Cheifs, Jags and Cowboys hired former head coaches and have some of the best records in the NFL.
Good coaches can come from anywhere. Don’t get trapped in the McVay meme.

It was the plan from midway through the CSP era.
I don't blame them for trying but it's not working. Time to move on.
If he fails to correct the problem, then it will be HIS fault.

All 3 had prior success. Sb appearance or winner.
Big difference.

I’m saying the “Hire a young up and coming offensive coach trying to prove himself to the league” trope is not correct.
I’m not defending the Dennis Allen hire. You won’t find a bigger Fire Dennis Allen guy on this board. I’m currently wearing a black and gold shirt that says FIRE DENNIS ALLEN!

You have valid point there. However, in Loomis’s defense that organization was the Raiders with Josh McDaniels as coach which was not the model organization. Of course that raises the question of why Loomis wanted to copy the Raiders by pairing a failed former Raiders qb with a failed former Raiders coach? So even in trying to defend Loomis makes me say “WTF were you thinking Mickey!”

There’s no question, he made a bad hire in DA, but the Saints have been making a lot of bad roster moves and they have not drafted all that well..
The Saints have more issues than just the coach.

I crapped on the idea from the get-go.
I root for Carr because he is who we have but he doesn't connect enough with his teammates. He's not some P.O.S. but there is awkwardness there with his teammates and I think it lingers just right into our dog crap HC.

he'll be 32 in March and is a career loser as a starter.
picture him in this offense this past season with the same injuries to all of the positions besides QB.
would he have done any better?
He had a legit badass with Adams at WR and the league leading rusher in Josh Jacobs. Yet he got politely nudged out the door.
He is absolutely not the answer with Doofus Allen as our head coach.

I can't remember jumping out of my chair for any of these.
Plus, my Dennis answer is there in black and white.
Olave trade if you find it and pull it up, I'll take an internet's worth of shite on me.

Do we even know if this is Loomis' call? And what I mean is that he is not going to make this call without telling Gayle?
I have maintained since the beginning that Gayle does not meddle but she views that organization like family.
So she may be the one that says "Give him another Year"

Your wrong again. You post like Victory Hill saying things and accusing people of things that are plain false. I won't call you a dumb arse but damn les. My post are there on wanting to move on from the CSP era, DA and Pete. Carr my post are there as well when we picked him up. My post during the season on Carr have not been kind to his play for us. Good luck on your future post.
Besides your very high IQ response can you find the posters who are legit:
Pro Allen
Pro Olave trade
Pro Carr
Was my point. Was not trying to upset you. I'll try to stay away from responding directly to you in the future as best I can.

Outlier. Most of the good teams have the same winning formula - offensive head coach and QB preferably on a rookie deal or early into an extension.

No they don’t! That’s a meme everyone keeps repeating.
McVay had to trade away his future for a veteran QB. The Bills have a defensive head coach. Ravens have a special teams coach. Tampa signed one of the oldest QBs to ever play the position. The Texans look really promising and are led by a defensive coordinator. The Cowboys QB is well into his second contract. Seattle and Pittsburgh are two of the most consistent teams in the NFL and both of those teams are led by a defensive coach. And then there’s Bill Belicheck.
There are plenty of good young offensive coaches in the NFL. But other coaches aren’t the outlier. Having a leader with a vision and buy-in by the front office is more important.
