Has any other GM singlehandedly ruined two pro sports franchises simultaneously?

Fresh take. Tell us more.

No. No one in their right mind would give an executive that much sway.
If an egomaniacal billionaire wants to do fine. I can't imagine letting someone else do it with my money, though....

I heard Loomis is taking the whole front office staff and renting out a movie theater to watch Draft Day

Was your previous stupid post whacked?
Saint's GMs by winning percentage.
Jim Finks (1986–1993) - 0.606
Mickey Loomis (2002–present) - 0.559
Randy Mueller (2000–2002) - 0.542
John Mecom Jr. (1978-1979) - 0.469
Bum Phillips (1981–1985) - 0.384
Bill Kuharich (1996–1999) - 0.333
Vic Schwenk (1968–1971) - 0.268
Richard "Dick" Gordon(1972-1976) - 0.257
Bert Rose (1967) - 0.214
Hank Stram(1977) - 0.214
Steve Rosenbloom (1980) - 0.063
While I am not a huge Mickey fan, in terms of prolonged success, he has overseen the best era of Saints football Let's see where this new hire goes and decide then if he has ruined the Saints. I am also not sure how he affects the Pels at all anymore.

To be fair Mickey was damn lucky Green Bay didn’t offer Sean and Miami was too wishy washy on Brees. After that the job was basically on autopilot. It’s not like he was this great visionary.
It’s only because this franchise was arguably the worst in nfl history before CSP and Brees that he’s where he is in the pantheon of saints managers.

If a manager gets blamed for what goes wrong under his watch, he also gets credit for what goes right. His making an offer that Green Bay did and Maimi balking at Brees when the Saints made an offer doesn't negate that it happened un Loomis.

Loomis hasn’t been involved with the Pelicans since 2019. Keep up.

Time to fire Loomis and scrap most of the team and start all over from scratch.

When old man Tom was alive he provided some check and balance to Loomis’ horrible tendencies.
That doesn’t exist with a failed business owner. What just happened to the Pels is the Saints destiny as well. It’s amateur hour poverty franchises on display and on borrowed time in NOLA. The empty seats, bag heads, and opposing fan building takeover are ratcheting up for 2025.

If you haven't seen that he has run the Saints organization into the ground over the last 5-7 years, you're not really paying attention. So what of his winning %.... he is now on a consistent spiral to the bottom. You get rid of him, he is stale here and needs to find a new home quickly.

Loomis left the Pels a few years ago

No one has that level of talent. We are so very fortunate to have him.
