A different owner and more than likely a different Loomis. But we will never know for sure I guess.
NOLA can’t afford a crappy owner and team for long. The signs are there with most games $18 tickets and opposing fans are taking over the Superdome.
I suspect more ticket holders will not renew than at any point since Payton arrived. The clock is ticking on the franchise as we know it.

No, I'm saying let's not pick and choose who gets a pass for failure. Tons of people acting like Rattler's greatness is only being held back due to injuries
Nah
I think people are saying that a 5th round rookie QB can be fairly evaluated in year 1 especially when he doesn’t have a legitimate NFL WR corps.
They are saying don’t judge yet…not proclaiming Rattler will be a quality starter.

I think plenty of cities have had crappy teams for very long periods of time. Not much worried about moving as I am who is in the house now

Unpopular opinion.
IMO Loomis gets a bad rap for the most part. He's not an idiot when it comes to managing an NFL team and he is not a my way of the highway type of GM.
This team could do a whole hell of a lot worse than him for a GM.

. the only real bad contract we have is Carrs
If only one bad contract, why are we constantly $70M over the cap? Made up #

Where was he employed when the Saints won the Super Bowl?
What’s his record post Sean Payton?

the Saints are not consistently $70 million over the cap. It's been steadily being reduced since 2021 or 22. It takes time but the core guys that were signed in the mid and late 20teens. you went cutting as long as Brees was here and this team had a chance to compete. It didn't work out so not it looks bad, but if they would have gotten that 2nd SB title no one would care, or wouldn't care as much.
They took on Carr's contract *(which wasn't a terrible contract money wize) but was bad for the Saints because they were beginning to peel real pian from the restructures of the Brees final years, Brees was gone, Peyton was gone and we all knew it was time to pay the piper and clear the books. Instead Loomis decides to back his HC and get eh QB he wanted. Again the contract wasn't bad, it's been reported that he and Mayfield had pretty much similar contracts but the Bucs were able financially to eat the bulk of that contract up front so if it didn't work out moving on would be much easier. As sucky as the NFC south has been the last two years it is just sheer dumb luck that the Bucs have ended up on top. No one like to hear it but injuries have played the greatest part in the Saints demise the last two years. Cold they won a championship? not likely but without the injuries they most certainly could have been in the Bucs position. But injuries happen even to the Bucs when they lost all their WRs this season and still managed to struggle through.
