If anyone could stomach watching I have been listening for the past 15 minutes or so.

He hasn't said anything earth shattering. He did confirm that the HC will have full say on staff and he will not ask him to hold on to anyone.

He poo-poo'd the idea of "moving on from the Payton era" and basically said that was stupid, he doesn't know what that means and he's not limiting himself. He said look at Detroit and Denver.

He said they have talked and looked into the injury issues between the Saints and Pelicans but believes its "coincidental"

What we really need to do is move on from the Loomis era

Translation: the Saints are going to be in salary cap f*cking hell and will win no more than eight games (in a “good” season) for the rest of eternity or until this f*cking nimrod is fired, whichever comes first. This f*cking idiot has no f*cking clue what he’s doing. He has somehow manipulated Gayle Benson and he is now a Svengali to that gold digging whore.

FYI during the presser he did not know we were picking 9th. He initially said 10th and then corrected himself maybe 20 seconds later.

Such attention to detail.

As usual, NOLA press REFUSED to ask the tough questions we ask on this board every day.

I’d be asking “Do you know how much you’ve fricked up the salary cap that’s set this organization back for years?”

“Can you fire yourself since Gayle won’t?”

You'll fall in line just like the rest or you'll have your press pass revoked very quickly.

Where was he employed when the Saints won the Super Bowl?

He got asked if he regretted anything in the Dennis Allen hire and he said no not at all and that Dennis Allen was a really good football coach.

Which of course he's not going to sit up there and say he messed up but still just nothing like. Oh nope. I'm good. No one's holding my arse accountable.

Same Mickey uses injuries excuse, and says we have talent, and that drafting has been good--what a joke!!

Funny how when it comes to Carr, Haener, and Loomis there is no talk about injuries as a legitimate reason for failure, but when it comes to Rattler it's the only reason for failure.

Unpopular opinion.

IMO Loomis gets a bad rap for the most part. He's not an idiot when it comes to managing an NFL team and he is not a my way of the highway type of GM.

This team could do a whole hell of a lot worse than him for a GM.

Are you saying Mickey is being unfairly evaluated relative to Rattler?

He has yet to acknowledge that his decisions from years back will negatively affect the future.

Even worse, he hasn’t even indicated that he’s ready to clean up the situation.

I can live with where we are.

I can’t live with being here and being unwilling to start doing the things needed to stop the bleeding and eventually giving the franchise a chance to rebuild.

I am not confident that Loomis intends to solve the cap issues.

Meh..

I don't expect or need him to come out and say some of the decisions we made were the wrong ones. I just expect him to use those lessons to make better decisions.

The cap is what it is because the Saints were chasing championships. the only real bad contract we have is Carrs but in reality his contract isn't off base for who he is as a player in today's NFL. Loomis is certainly not going to come out and say yea we screwed up signing Carr but hindsight he may feel that way.

The one thing that stuck out to me most was he's looking his age recently.

Explain. Saints haven't been to the playoffs in 4 years, even with the expanded wild card. That alone puts GMs on the hot seat. Bad decision after bad decision on who to keep vs who to pay. Let 2 young All-Pro players walk for nothing.

What questions did you think they should have asked that they didn't?

They seemed to hit on all the top concerns for the team and the management.
