Next time you have a work meeting or a presentation, get up there aggressively smacking gum the whole time and see how that goes over with ownership and clients?

Comparing your corporate job to a NFL GM speaking to the local media is not the same.
I think everyone is missing the point here- I hate what Loomis is doing in keeping DA. But harping on his gum chewing and acting like he’s incompetent at his job because of that is kind of a ridiculous take. None of you would care about the gum chewing if he fired DA. He doesn’t fire DA- you guys are now hating everything he does- these are completely irrational takes.

It struck me as intentional. He was up there knowing he was being defiant of everything the fans expected, so he rattled off cherry-picked names of HOF coaches' first few seasons to draw the comparison to DA (notwithstanding the fact that these past two seasons were NOT DA's first two as a HC).
