How do we continue to get fleeced with sending picks?

I think its more the case that the people judging his trades are not in touch with reality.

Other than being a bean counter what has Loomis done? We had trash drafts until Ireland got here, Payton by his own words wanted to go to Green Bay in 06 but then Loomis lucked into him because they went with McCarthy instead. Continues to get fleeced in trades.

If you think we got fleeced, you are a moron and cannot be helped. You can say you don't like giving up the 3rd but that's not being fleeced. The draft value of a 1st + a mid 2nd rounder outweighs a third by a significant margin. The Saints didn't want this to go another year and that's a good deal for a guy who isn't coming back. I have no idea why people are throwing a fit about this.

No no. The irony is that the 1st rd pick we have (Bradley Chub trade) is a trade Rape. Everyone else in the world can deal with stupid and desperate teams but the saints? Why? Because Loomis is weak obviously

Reading Twitter, the Broncos fans aren't really happy about this at all. They think they gave up way too much for a "mid" coach.

Then you take the 2024 first. He’s still competing in the AFC West. Need to trade every player with any value and load up for the 2024 draft and have actual cap space. Hopefully we’ll have an actual offensive coach by then too.

Lol there was no other teams interested in hiring him. You dont turn down this trade without any other suitors just out of spite. This board is unrealistic. We were never getting 2 firsts. That was things being released to the media as a negotiation tactic.

You can say whatever you want about Loomis' past trades etc. But he took whatever he could in this deal. It is what we had to take.

It’s not like a player that still can play. Coach is a wasting asset. He will have even less value next year.

2 firsts wasn’t happening.

and if you go to Reddit they’re pretty happy about it. Twitter is littered with bots and children trolling.

This is a horrible fricking trade. I guess we don’t have any leverage with Payton, but to send him an a 3rd is inexcusable.

He’s worth two 1sts on his own, and we trade him and a 3rd for only a 1st and 2nd
