You don't build a defense from the back to the front, you build it from the front to the back. Anyone who says "Oh but we gave up so many yards in the air last year, a new S will help that." Oh really? so you think continuing to let opposing QB's camp out in the pocket for a day and a half is going to help either? You think a guy who will roatate in at best with Jenkins and Harper will do more good?
You need pressure. Sorry, but I didn't want all my eggs in the Gallette, Wilson, Butler basket. None of whom who have even started a full season. Who are we the Jets? They had two of the best CB's in the league for two years, but oh wait, they didn't get any pressure. Did you see how pitiful they were?

If you get the chance to grab the TWO TIME SACK LEADER you do it. Jesus christ it isnt this diffcult. The Steelers are probably prepping our care package right now.

I'm going to bed before i blow a coronary.

Yeah, we needed you to start another thread to bitch and cry about something you have no control over.

We could have drafted a bust, or a pro bowler. Let the kid get on the field first.

Please go to bed

Please tell me how you know they will not perform well in the 3-4. The fact is we need help at all levels and in perfectly fine with a versatile safety who was the best at his position in the draft.

Yes....because having Kruger, Johnson, Ngata, Kemoeatu, Suggs didn't have anything to do with that.

I never said I knew they wouldn't perform well. My point is when a player of Jone's caliber is on the board, you don't even blink. He's a proven commodity at the highest level.

Well, Gallette, Wilson, and Butler all have NFL experience and have shown good potential. I think we are set with NT on Bunkley and possibly Hicks rotating at NT and DE. Bunkley is alot better than people give him credit. When he was in last year people could not run up the middle. Never understood why Vitt sat him during the Denver game.

I said in last thread Vacarro was pick I liked. He is alot better in coverage than Harp and a whole lot cheaper. I don't see us cutting Jenkins since he can play both safeties and CB and he is not breaking the bank like Harper is. Vacarro is a very good player. I think we are better off with our front 7 than most people think, esp with the switch to a 3-4.

Your way overlongpost suggest very strongly that the Saints...
1. Believe that they have no pass rush and don't give a shite.

or

2. They think they have the personel to rush in the new 3-4 and you don't.
