It was a dumb play. Coach called a great game and received 0 breaks and lots of questionable calls that turned back big plays and killed drives, but this was not his best play call.
I can see that with Ginn but Tommy doesn't touch the ball enough to be put in that situation with the game on the line.

He also NEVER fields a punt cleanly.

Payton benched Ingram after Ingram called him out for the call on the run up the middle.

Yeah why go to the sideline at all? I mean if you don’t get a TD or a first down there wouldn’t have been better to knock another 30 seconds off the clock before kicking? Even if TLL doesn’t fumble there, he stops the clock (not sure he hit the first or not)

because you don't want a FG there and you want to end the game. It was a good play call just executed poorly

TLL fumbled against Tampa last year as well...
