Let’s be real: Mickey won’t sit back & wait, he will be aggressive & try to move up.

He will try to move up from 9 if he loves Sanders.
If he can’t, he will try to move up from 40 to get a QB. Or with the two 3rds to move up.
He won’t leave it to chance. That’s just not Mickey and we know it.

Yes, because he’s a loser and has proven that he has no idea how to work the NFL draft.

If he’s going to reach for a QB at 9, I’d rather Dart than Shedeur. If he’s smart, he’ll take best player available at 9 or trade back. The team is going nowhere this year either way. Draft your future QB in next years draft which will be a much stronger QB draft where you’ll likely have a top 5 pick.

I have come to the realization that Mickey will not do anything that will get us back to being a winning/compete for championship type organization! He will do some things here and there to make people think that he is committed to winning but is not. He will continue to tank this franchise, drop the value, and make it an easy sell when the Old Bag Dies. Him and Lauscha will laugh all the way to the bank and pocked Billions!

The Saints have good draft capital but Mickey will burn it down with trades to move up in the draft.
He should do the opposite and trade back … we need more picks at the rate they keep missing on draft picks !!!!

I’ve certainly been critical of Loomis. Hell, look at my avatar pic.
But the one thing I’ll give him credit for is he is aggressive and tries to build a winning team. Not always successfully, but he does try. They went all in in Drew’s final years. They brought in Winston, a talented but underachieving QB. They brought in Carr, an average QB from a bad team. He’s willing to move up to get the guys he thinks will make the team better. They are willing to sign big play guys and not letting star players walk.
As a Saints fans that had to live through the late 80s and early 90s and saw good players walk away and signing scrub players and has beens or never weres, I’ll take the aggressive approach everyday.

Benson and Finks changed the direction of the Saints forever. They got us on the path to legitimacy. Finally.

The going theory is that if he doesn't go at 9 (Sanders), he could fall to 21 Steelers. Do the Saints reach into the top 20 to get this kid? Will be interesting to watch.
