I agree with this. Glenn is hired. Kubiak and Rizzi stay.
The big problem with this is that it’s a blueprint from Mickey Loomis, you know the same fricking idiot that put us in this position, so I’m not exactly thrilled about a 3 headed monster staff hand picked by that arrogant , prick.
You can’t really go off of Glenn’s resume because its paper thin, so it’s just PR articles of people talking him up

Just admit you don’t know what the frick you’re talking about. He got HC interviews before this year and he was the main reason the Bengals were even in that Super Bowl in 2021.
They failed to keep a lot of defensive talent he had, including the best safety in the league in Bates, which led to them struggling. By the end of the year, they were close to top 10 in defensive rankings during that 5-0 run at the end of the year. So yeah. Shut the frick up and let the grown ups do the talking

The turnaround point in Anarumo's tenure came during the 2021 postseason. After a mediocre regular season for the defense, the unit turned up the heat come playoff time. They held the Las Vegas Raiders and the Tennessee Titans to under 20 points in the first two games, and then shocked the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship to earn a trip to the Super Bowl. Anarumo's defense forced seven turnovers in three games en route to that Super Bowl appearance, and his unit arguably had a bigger hand in that team being in the final game than Joe Burrow and the Bengals' offense. They came up just short in the Super Bowl, but it was a major milestone for Anarumo's tenure.
He followed up the strong end to 2021 with an impressive 2022 season on defense, as he led the Bengals' to the number seven defense in the league in total yards allowed while holding opposing quarterbacks to a passer rating of just 80.1. Unfortunately, the Bengals' defense would begin a downward trend following the successul season.

think if it’s Glenn, that’s one that will come with Gary Kubiak strings attached
Why? Generally previous staff isn’t retained
And no established DC like Saleh is coming to work under a defensive HC
Look at guys on the Lion staff - Tanner Ergstrand, JT Barrett, Scottie Montgomery on the offensive side. Kelvin Sheppard on the defensive side
Ryan Nielsen, Kris Richard will be available once the jaguars settle up

Agree with all this.
Glenn might be a great coach. But sometimes you need a new voice and a new direction. The problem with a Glenn hire is the same ole same ole. I was willing to give Allen a chance when he was hired. But that wasn’t going to work and was evident very quickly.
It’s time to clean house and bring in a leader that will drag this team to success.

It was always gonna be Glenn. This is all for show. Rizzi already has a moving Pod in front of his house. They already told him.

quote:again, yes, I know, but it still sucked and Kubiak will be retained if Glenn is the head coach
The offense didnt suck because of scheme. Bill walsh couldve run this offense and they werent gonna be good with all those injuries

You weren’t saying that when the offensive line was healthy and we scored 92 points in the first two games though.

If it’s Glenn I’m done with the franchise. Another lazy hire and Allen 2.0
I don't think this franchise can get Glenn.

Mickey Loomis is a clown if he is dictating who the coach will keep.
You bring a leader in at any level with those stipulations, you're setting them up for failure.
I'm convinced you don't have to actually be a smart leader to run these franchises. Just some bozo the owner likes.

Saw an interview with Glenn. He appeared to be a players coach. I'm not sure we need that.

It's not even just that. We would be literally doing the same "continuity" stuff that got us in such shite post-SP

It’ll be Glenn and he’ll be the DC… they’ll retain Klint as OC and that’s your staff.

Considering the Saints are in rebuild position that's almost best case scenario for them to get a coach that highly sought after. You should lower expectations. More than likely the Saints are going to get a scapegoat as coach so they can rebuild then fire them when the time comes right with clean cap, decent younger players, draft, etc. to work with.
Nobody wants to come to New Orleans. Seriously. It's career suicide right now with nothing to work with.

Not sure if he’s qualify to be OC but I hope he would bring over Mark Brunell as QB coach.

JMJr holy shite there’s a nightmare I wish I’d forgotten. Thanks for regurgitating those unpleasant memories.

If Kubiak and Rizzi were not on the Saint coaching staff I’m 100% sure most intelligent Saints fans would be wanting the new HC to at least interview them for the OC and STC position.
I get the push back if and it’s a big if Loomis makes keeping them a stipulate to the HC position. But in reality if that’s the case no HC is going to take that job is they don’t think those guys are valuable. And Loomis would learn quick that he’d have to back off that stip.
