Trade: Chiefs are finalizing a deal to send franchise CB L’Jarius Snead to the Titans, per league sources. Chiefs are expected to receive a 2025 3rd-round pick, in addition to a 2024 7th-round pick flop, while Snead will sign a new contract. Trade is pending physical for Sneed.

And people thought Latt would go for a 1st +

If that’s the best we can do for Latt, just keep him.

there is not, and never was, a universe, even if you include the fricking MCU, where Lattimore, a constantly injured, aging CB, would fetch us a 1st round pick

Trading him isn't about the value

It's about his attitude

Don’t agree with you much, but this is truth.

problem is, he's more than happy to just basically take up a roster spot/remain on IR, while collecting a large check... so unless his attitude and demeanor drastically shift, he really doesn't provide us any value being here either... he's basically in this self-styled purgatory that's got us sorta hamstrung at the moment

We simply won't deal him if we can't get good value

By all reported intentions, he wants to make the hall of fame, so I doubt he just chooses to sit out. We control him for at least 3 more seasons, more if we wanted to use the tag.

no, he's not going to just sit on the sidelines, but i'm sure there are plenty of times he's could have gone out and played, but remained on the IR...

as far as the HOF talk, lots of guys have large aspirations and try to speak into existence.... but that and 2.50 may get them a cup of coffee.... talk is cheap...

no we don't... we own his rights for that time, but make no mistake, we don't "control" not a fricking thing that him, nor any other player, for that matter, do... straight up... they all can decide their level of commitment to the team and that of being a professional

Tennessee got Snead for peanuts and is much much better than Lattimore.

Keep him. That's the best value you'll get for him.

Sigh.

Snead just had to be franchised by the Chiefs, and they could never pay the $20 million CB franchise tag value for 2024 which ALL counts against the cap. They HAD to trade him, and the new team HAD to give him a top of the market long-term deal. Lattimore has two more years on his contract with the Saints. This makes him much more attractive and the Saints much less motivated, regardless of his attitude. Not comparable.

They could have, if they wanted to. They could have also signed him where his cap impact would not have been bad for 2 years (while Kelce's under contract). They just don't operate like we do.

You're forgetting that Sneed is seen as a better player who doesn't have constant injury concerns.

PFF has even Isaac Yiadom ranked ahead of Sneed

What’s wrong with Latts attitude?

It’s not the same, but you can use it as a barometer. Sneed is seen as the better player with no attitude issues but is not under contract. Latt is under contract and either because of injury or falling out with the coaches hasn’t played a lot lately. He’s also been arrested and was on probation.

I’ve always said that at best you can get a high second round pick from a desperate team. Unfortunately one of those teams is no longer looking for a CB. Best bet is a pick in the late 40s early 50s from a team like the Bengals, Steelers or Jaguars.

Aging? Hmmm Snead 27 years old. Lattimore 27 years old. It’s as if some of you deserve a disability check. Hope you wrote this wearing your helmet.

You are probably the only one that REALLY thought we could, others may have said it as wishful thinking…
